Re: Feature: Best Wii U Games

Criminally underrated console, and I'm sorry that people don't understand this but Nintendo Land is the killer app Wii Sports was AND THEN SOME. Maybe it didn't sell as many copies, but the asymmetrical gameplay with the game pad was on another level that even the mighty switch hasn't reached.

I already have Castlevania and picked up Contra at that price. The only reason I can think of to get the Arcade Classics is that as a Brit taking advantage of the US e-shop, you can't use a European debit card or paypal account to pay and there's still $5.01 left of the $10.00 prepaid card I bought from playasia in the first place. Unless somebody knows of something better to spend my dollar on?

I bought Strife from a computer fair with my pocket money back in the 90s, me and my brother loved it without realising quite how good it was! Looking back now it stands leagues above its contemporaries and well ahead of its time. Multiple endings with an intriguing story, my fondest memories of playing this (as a boundary pushing child) seem to be of trying to killing the villagers with poison tipped arrows without the guards noticing!

Nintendo Land is a million times better than Wii Sports! The tennis was great tbf, but the fact that more people played it doesn't automatically give it it killer app status. Nintendo Land should have come bundled in with the Wii U and if it it did (and if the console shifted in Wii-sized numbers) I don't think there would be any competition. Mario Chase anyone?
