@fenlix Before Arise came out Tales of Symphonia, Vesperia, and Abyss were considered the top 3 Tales of games in any order with sometimes abyss being exchanged out for Berseria depending on who you ask.
@KimBread Tales of Symphonia is known as one of the best Tales of games out there and it was the first Tales of game to make it to the US. It also was a test to determine if the series could survive in the US and it did incredibly well selling amazing.
@Greatluigi The GC version actually runs at 60fps while all other versions run at 30fps and can't be unlocked even on pc. Thats why they are saying play it on GC.
@mikegamer You are right however the two versions were actually built entirely differently, and all the ports used PS2 version as their base. So its not as simple as unlocking the fps at this point. Technically the entire code would need to be redone and thats not a simple task and its no different than making an entirely new game basically.
@mikegamer Its not locked, the problem is all animations for all versions other than the gamecube are tied to the fps, so if they put it at 60fps then you have crazy speedy animations. You can find the video of a test someone did unlocking the animations and its super bad when at 60fps.
@SwitchVogel A lot of people love the originals, the problem is their just a product of the time, so if they were remastered they would more than likely be handled differently. There was a lot more freedom with them though than the G.U. games and they had minigames in them that also didn't exist in the G.U. games.
@Specter_of-the_OLED From what I heard the decisions Platinum Games and Team Ninja made involving the games they both published were theirs alone and were not decisions that Square either enforced or were involved with, this is even more true so for Platinum whose head himself stated that he wanted to monetize more stuff in their games and all. So this was a design choice at least that their studio head was making. The only decision that I can see that is really Squares decision thats been bad lately is the 1. limiting games to exclusively be on epic instead of having it on them on epic and steam thus making more money and 2. the kingdom hearts cloud decision.
@Bizzyb I'm waiting for like the plex app on switch, its on literally every other console. If they'd let us use the switch internet browser we could even access it then too. Its dumb :/ .
@Shredderlovespizza FF15 has you controlling only 1 character ever, you don't need to tell the other party members to do anything as they can handle things themselves. Your turn based strategy games have more going on than a game like FF15 since you have to control everyones actions yourself.
@Ellie02 I don't think Xenoblade has been underrated for a while considering 2 was considered to be a record sale breaker and the definitive edition of 1 sold so well its become almost impossible to find. Also we had Shulk put in Smash so the game already was on the map and was popular enough since many of those smash characters for dlc were determined based on japan popularity.
@Dman10 If you are asking are they illegal to currently play on pc, yes, emulating games using software that isn't sanctioned by the makers isn't actually legal at all. An nintendo has in the past and can go after the various sites who host the emulation software.
@Damo You guys aren't a fansite but are considered a news outlet. An I do still feel that you do help spread stuff to a wider audience than would normally have known. For proof of that you can simply see the comments here in which people actually reacted as if they hadn't heard of this. But I do at the same time agree with you too.
@Minecraft_Master Nintendo is just incredibly protective of their intellectual property is all it is. Their like Disney in that regard. An they don't like it when others do anything with it because they could wind up painting things in a bad light or something potentially.
@roboshort Yeah, Nintendo can be very weird about what they take action against and what they don't. All I know is that when news outlets tend to call attention to these things then Nintendo generally takes more notice of it and actively goes after them.
@roboshort Except your applying the NA and EU's copyright laws to this when you are thinking about it while Nintendo is following the JP copyright laws which do state that anything using their ip's at all in any way falls under them allowing to strike it, japan is far lacking behind in the freedom when it comes to copyright laws. Thats why anime companies can go after youtubers that are merely reviewing their shows as well as why nintendo actively hunts out youtubers who show their stuff unless the youtuber is a nintendo ambassador. JP copyright laws are not as lax and fair compared to ours and since the company in question who this is coming from is in jp it would follow their laws.
You know whats bad, nintendo generally doesn't know about most of these things and doesn't kill them until news outlets like nintendolife tend to cover them. Nintendo doesn't have an internal team who actively goes hunting for this stuff, if they did they would have dmca'd a lot of the various pokemon roms and such but they only tend to go after the ones that news outlets cover (i.e. Uranium being an example). As such when news outlets cover them they are actively helping nintendo shut them down.

@Tuulenpoika Essentially the version they're selling exists on the pc at 5 dollars during sales. With its normal price being 20 dollars.
Re: Koei Tecmo Brings Fate/Samurai Remnant To Switch In 2023, Here's A First Look
Article is misleading, there is no anime called Fate/Samurai Remnant. An the majority of the Fate animes are adaptations of games.
