Re: Feature: 20 Years of the Super NES

Crystalking18

I wasn't even born whent this came out. It's a pretty good system overall and has some amazing songs and some of the best 2D graphics I've ever seen. My favorite game on the ol' SNES would have to be Kirby Super Star hands down (yeah I'm weird like that)

Re: 3DS Price Cut Helps Machine to Huge Sales Hike in Japan

Crystalking18

Okay, I'm tempted to get a 3DS now that there is a price drop, but there's one problem. I just recently got a DSi (by recent I mean November 2009), and I feel that buying a 3DS would be pointless because it does basically everything a DSi does. And no, I'm not an idiot who just thinks it's a DS with 3D. I know that there are many good games coming out for it that I am interested in (Paper Mario and Super MArio 3D Land), but besides those there's not much.

I know that Nintendolife just published a guide about good games coming out before SM3L, but none of those interested me. Unless I see definitive software that I would love, I don't see a reason to buy it while I'm still getting good mileage off of my DSi. Plus, for the 3DSware and Virtual console, there are no good 3DSware games out yet, and the Virtual console has games that I can just buy off of amazon (I prefer having a cart in my hand anyway). So I'm extremly on the fence for this, and I'm afraid that I most likely will not get one

Re: Preview: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Crystalking18

In the recent Game Informer coverage of Skyward Sword, they think Lord Ghirahim is a girl. I really don't know what to make of that.

Either way, I'm going to get this game as soon as it comes out. This is going to be one of the best games on the Wii, though I'm not sold on it being a masisve reinvention of the Zelda series as I've been hearing. A damned good game probably, but not revolutionary.

Re: Capcom Blames the Fans for Mega Man Legends 3 Cancellation

Crystalking18

i was never going to buy the game in general because i dont have a 3ds, nor am I interested in the Megaman Legends franchise, but still. WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? WHAAAAAAAAT!!!! I'm sorry, but for a game that had a large input by the fans and was waited for by fans for years to be cancelled and have someone say "there wasn't any support." is either the biggest moron on the face of the earth, or is just begging to have a public backlash!

Re: Talking Point: The Growing Storm of Operation Rainfall

Crystalking18

@36. People didn't whine about it because we didn't have the ability to know what Nintendo was doing in Japan. We didn't know that Final Fantasy 2 wasn't really released in America until a few years later. And teh reason why no one cared is because it was a few years later. Now, in the modern age of technology, we know what Nintendo is doing. We know that they have made the games. We know that they have been released. The fact that we know so much and Nintendo is not going to acknoledge our knowledge of these games is what ticks people off. And I agree with the fans that know about these games

Re: Talking Point: The Growing Storm of Operation Rainfall

Crystalking18

I personally don't care for Nintendo's current attitude towards us hardcore gamers now, but I can understand why they won't be released. At the end of the day, this is a business. The cost to translate the game, publicize it, and produce it could be a lot of money, and even though Nintendo already has a lot of money, I'm pretty sure none of the executives want to lose it. I'm saddened by Nintendo's attitude, so we'll just see how this goes

Re: Pachter to Operation Rainfall: "I Agree"

Crystalking18

Even though I want to play The Last Story desperatly and I support Operation Rainfall 100%, Nintendo won't do it. I still love them to death, but they won't release them here. Why? Ummmm..... because the kool aid man's red. I don't know. Still, if people like Pachter agree with Operation Rainfall, then we may have at least one game out. But to the people that want other games ported, and I have read some people's comments about it, don't be greedy. Work with these three games first, then talk about it.

Re: Talking Point: Your Sonic the Hedgehog Memories

Crystalking18

To me, Sonic will always be my introduction into the 6th generation of consoles. I was debating with my brother to see what game we would choose when we got a gamecube. I forget who wanted what, but I remember clearly it was either Luigi's Mansion or Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. So we argued for a good month or two before we saved enough money to buy a gamecube. In tyhe end, we got Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and played the hell out of it. He chose the villain side and I chose the hero side. Overall we had a blast playing it, and then we eventually got Luigi's Mansion. So we both won!

Re: Sony: Wii U is No Threat, Says "Welcome to 2006, Nintendo"

Crystalking18

@MasterGraveheart Yeah I know what you mean. Sony is honestly just not doing all that well now now that there is compeition in the gaming world (I would actually argue they're doing better than the 360, but I digress). My opinion is that Sony will continue to bad mouth Nintendo, and behind closed doors they'll be constucting a WiiU mock up or trying to make one thats more "hardcore".

Re: Sony: Wii U is No Threat, Says "Welcome to 2006, Nintendo"

Crystalking18

@11 Hi Game Overthinker lol. But seriously, Tretton's comment doesn't even make sense. Playstation Move. Welcome to 2006. Touchscreen. Welcome to 2004. Plus I really don't think that Nintendo really is trying to upstage Sony. Sony has it's own problems now, and I think Nintendo could care less if Sony thinks that WiiU is outdated before it launched

Re: Talking Point: Your Nintendo Moment of 2010

Crystalking18

For my moment of the year,it would have to be WAAAAAAY early back in January. I was constantly waiting for No More HEroes 2 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom to come out, sicne they came out on the same date. So I scrounged for money and was able to get both of them at the same time, and enjoy one of the best fighting games ive played in a while, and the sequal to one of my favorite games of all time

Re: Talking Point: Your Favourite Nintendo Christmas Memories

Crystalking18

My story would probably have to be in 2005, when I was just a mere 11 years old. Me and my brother were unwrapping presents around the Christmas tree, when suddenly my brother pulled out a copy of Mario Kart DS. We never had a DS, so the rest of the time became an instant scramble to find the DS and any other games that came with it. Eventually when we found it, we had not only found Mario Kart DS, but also Mega Man Battle Network 5, and Mario and Luigi Partners in Time. On the Gamecube though, we got some pretty good games like Super Smash Bros Melee (yes we were late but my brother recently turned 13 so we could get it), and some Mega Man X Collection. Overall, great Christmas

Re: Review: Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (DS)

Crystalking18

Good review. Im debating whether or not to get this game because ive never played the other games in the series. Would it be hard for me to follow the story since I havent played the other games or is it not a big issue?
