Re: Phantasy Star Zero Mini Coming to DSiWare

Even at 200 points, here's the question. Are you getting Phantasy Star 0? If so, its a nice buy. Not for me, though.

@Objection_Blaster- I agree! It would be nice to go through a level of a game (i.e. Sonic and the Black Knight) for 200 points to see if you like it. Speaking of which, is SBK good?

@ReZon- Although a good idea, there is a downside to this type of advertising. If a different demo of the same game is available through Nintendo Channel, then people will think that the company is trying to make a few extra bucks, and just ignore the game altogether. Lets hope this never happens.

Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (18th Mar)

@Corbie- So Bit. Trip didn't make the charts as I hope. Ah well, it still is a great game, and my prediction will probably ring true next week. What will be really humiliating is if Bit. Trip doesn't fulfill my prediction (top 10, maybe top 5) next week. That probably won't happen, thanks to Metroid133's information.

However, I'm more sad that Mega Man 9 isn't on the charts. I was never able to try a classic Mega Man game, and when I was able to try a Mega Man game, the series seemed to had moved on to a simpler formula (Mega Man Battle Network.) I decided to try and get a Mega Man game on Wiiware when I could, but I didn't know what one to get (there are many versions.) Not only did Mega Man 9 make my search simpler, it also gave me a piece of what a true Mega Man 9 game was really about. If you have never played a Mega Man game before, or have only played a Mega Man game made in recent history (post-2002), then get this game. It deserves to be played.

On one final note, how is Hockey All Star Shootout # 17 on the Canadian charts?

Re: Review: Bit.Trip: Beat (WiiWare)

I am glad to see that this game is getting so much praise. Even though I'm still stuck on Level one (I think I got close last time...), I can't argue with the fact that this is a quality game. Congratulations, Commander Video, on a spectacular game.

I still have my fingers crossed that my earlier prediction will come true (that Bit. Trip would crack the top 10 (maybe top 5) on the top 20 list this week). It seems more likely now that this game has recieved a great review.

Also, about this memory thing. Nintendo does have memory cards for the Wii. Just put games that you aren't playing on the memory card, store up the right amount of blocks on your wii, and buy that game that uses a ton of space. I'm not trying to scorn everyone that says space is an issue for you not to buy Bit. Trip (312 blocks is alot of memory for one game). What I'm saying is that it's a managable problem, and that lack of space shouldn't be the only reason why you wouldn't buy this game (or any other game that uses a ton of space, i.e. Onslaught, LIT, and World of Goo.)

Re: USA WiiWare Update: Bit.Trip Beat

@BrickleBrack: I hope this isn't true. I've been dying a good 3-4 minutes into the first level. Guess Bit. Trip just isn't my forte...yet.

By the way, is anybody else noticing that your paddle pulses to the beat? This throws me off a bit when trying to reach pixls on different quickly, but then again, this could be that I'm just not good at this game.

Other than this factor (and the agreement with Corbie that it should come with a seizure warning), I don't find much wrong with this game. Good job, Aksys.

First Comment Ever!

On an actual matter, I predict that Bit. Trip will be a game that jumps onto the top 10 of the top 20 list, maybe even cracking the top 5 this week. Even if Corbie gives the game a low score (when I mean low, I mean 6 or 5 out of 10), the game is only 600 points, it has been anticipated for the last few weeks, it appeals to many different audiences, and features a great (if not a little flawed) pick-up-and-play multiplayer. It will be very surprising if I don't see this game reach the top 10 this week, let alone the charts.

Oh, and just to be clear, I find it unlikely Corbie will give this game a 6 or 5/10, but you never know.
