nintendo please do me a favor. when a new download service comes out learn how to not switch all your focus to that one service. just like when wiiware first came out they neglected the VC, and now with dsiware nintendo is neglecting both wiiware/VC services....learn how to manage all your downloadable services at once nintendo!!!!

it seems like the amount of DSiware titles being released is affecting the amount of wiiware/virtual console titles being released, which is complete bull.

remember the good ol' days when there were 3-4 VC games per week. well, thats a faded memory now. i want kirby superstar damnit!

nothing for me this week. As for the 350th VC game my points are on Kirby Super Star. get it? i said points cuz you download it. OH boy! i crack myself up sometimes! : )

i think that the two VC games a week will continue for quite a while, i think they are doing this due to the wii not selling as much. This is why japan got so many releases in the first place, and crap i only have 700 wii points!!

@vio yup that summer reminded me of the start of 2008 and how people were always dissapointed with 2 VC games a week compared to 3.

pretty nice week IMO. Indy was a nice surprise, and as for the demos are they crap as in length like the brawl ones?

Whats with the slacking of releases? oh well, i have quite a bit of VC/wiiware games i have yet to beat.

the sequel is going to be released this coming monday, followed by the last game in the trilogy will be released the 24th, from what i hear anyway.

maybe nintendo should stop focusing on their soccer moms, and grandmas, i know that this demographic gobbles up practically any shovelware that nintendo throws out, but what about the hardcore gamers buying the all the VC games?

sorry to the people who were really hoping for this one, i never really saw what was so great about the game anyway but that's just me.

have this game on my master system so im not intrested but it is still a decent game, which can offer some entertainment.

they want to spread their big hit titles so when wii sales go down nintendo will have a good lineup on the VC, your not going to get smashbros with earthbound, they want the VC to last as long as possible without throwing all their greatest hits away over the course of two years. also i don't really see whats so great about earthbound anyway.

well these games had to come out this month anyway right? i'm not saying that they are bad as gradius is a good shooter series, i'm just not into the genre.
@bass X0 yeah having zombies ate my neighbors come out next week would be great but they might just release animals de la muerte instead.

this is a really pleasent surpise!!! can't wait to download SoM as i never had the chance to play it back then, the VC is starting to shape up again after that terrible summer!!

i agree with you 100% the N64 version of mario tennis actually required skill where as in the cube version you would get those annoying game breakers that made it easy for anyone to be able to win. (i also think mario tennis for the N64 had a very mario themed atmosphere to it such as mario himself being the ref, as well as the various character themed stages.)

i am pretty happy with this week's releases. i did enjoy super turrican so i will gladly be getting the sequel, as for wii ware bomberman does look pretty fun especially due to online support, but unfourtunally i am out of wii points at the moment.

does'nt matter to me as i have both banjo kazooie and tooie on my N64 already with manuals intact.

very nice update. i will definetly be getting super dodge ball and mega man 9, i have the cartridge of vectorman so i won't be getting that.

nothing intresting for me. i have space harrier on my master system and the others dont really appeal to me.

i had a strong feeling that this would come out today. bit of a shame that it is the only VC release though. i thnk we will be seeing earthworm jim, and clayfighter this month as well, but a pretty good release as i wanted mm2 for a while now.

good news in my opinion, this will most likely be an october release. this will probaly mean that we wont be seeing dracula x for a little while more now since it wouldnt make sense to release two poular games in the same series at such close dates, although samurai shodown 1 and 2 were quite close releases with one another.

yup, knew these were going to be released monday on friday, not really a shooter fan though, but i do have a strong feeling we will be getting mega man 2 next week which i have been wanting for a long while now.

well we all knew this was going to happen, i don't know why some people were actually thinking that SMRPG was going to be released. i do believe though that SMRPG will be released next week in north america due to the fact that big name titles usually are released close to each other.

i really don't understand how some people are surprised that these games were released today. these titles were announced to be released AUG 11 in july, so i just don't understand why people were looking for mega man or whatever.
EDIT: and i don't really see what is so great about EarthBound, just looks like phantsy star to me.

i really don't know why some americans are so angry over this update. it's not like north america won't be seeing SS ii this month, and i'm sure the other releases for this month will be Y's 1 & 2, break-in, star parodier, mega man, and lastly neo-turf masters, but it could be vectorman since europe got ecco jr and that was released months ago in north america.

speaking of rare titles i would really like to see killer instinct for the snes to be released but that is highly unlikely, and would be released on XBLA before anything.

This is one of my favourite downloads so far. the controls are perfect and the music is catchy and grows on you. in my opinion this is a must download for any fan of the genre.

yeah i remember hearing that Nintendo would release the big hit VC titles when there is a drought in wii games.

i know the fact of how japan has 100 more games than north america and europe, but i'm also saying that even with wiiware japan still gets 3-5 games a week, where as for north america and europe the inclusion of wiiware hindered VC releases where it hasn't with japan. we should at least be getting 3 or more games a week with or without wiiware.

EDIT: but yeah you guys/girls are right that the difference comes from it being a japanese company releasing all those japanese exclusives and having no translation issues.

i personally didn't want any of the games that were "confirmed" for today, well maybe just samurai shodown ii, i also find it funny how everyone is saying that this will be the best VC month in 2008 and this happens.
