This. They only bother to translate the bare minimum such as legal contracts. One would think they'd at the very least translate games aimed at kids, that usually have around 30 lines of text, like Mario games. Sony has localised all their games for years, perhaps that's why they dominate here in Finland.

At least consoles and games are very easy to find, every electronics store has them.

Watch_Dawgs for me, everything I've seen about it so far has been astounding. I hope the final product won't disappoint. On top of that I'll get: Wind Waker HD, and Splinter Cell. SM3DW and AssCreed IV are still big maybes.

On to the nitpicking: Nintendo consoles actually have had Assassin's Creed games before; two games on DS

I agree with him, it's a game of epic magnitudes; good graphics, atmospheric set pieces, awesome soundtrack, moderate amounts of exploring, without it never feeling pointless. All the right ingredients for a Zelda game, mixed perfectly.
To this date, NL:s review of the game is the only time I've disagreed very strongly with Nintedo Life's opinion.

But still no Flipnote Studio 3D

Seems like my kind of game, will definitively download if the reviews are at least plausible.

I think it's safe to say that they'll have a bigger, Wii U focused ND next month or even late August. It would be insane of them to not highlight the "saviors" of Wii U. I believe they just wanted to have the smaller Wii U & 3DS announcements out of the way before that.
They didn't speak of the Wii U's second big update either this time around. If I had to throw a wild guess, I'd say they'll pull a "you can download this right after this Nintendo Direct" on that.

Is there any sort of local multiplayer?
I'll most likely get it at some point – maybe near launch – but they ought to patch it at somewhere down the line. At least that's the only thing Wii U gets the short end of the stick at (if the game doesn't run and/or look horrible on it)

Watch_dogs is day one for me and maybe AC4 if the reviews are good. Both on Wii U of course, since I want to support Ubis decision to release these AAA titles on Wii U. It's more than can be said about a certain other big third party publisher.

I couldn't help but notice that it said "Gyakuten Saiban Five " in the trailer. Seemed kinda out of place when the rest of it was in japanese.

He has a few good points, but overall I disagree with his views. For example I think he puts way too much emphasis on online multiplayer. I mean, it's a nice feature for a game, but not fit for all games, say 3D-Mario and Zelda.
And I can't forgot that this is the same guy that believed Wii would bomb. Nearly 100 million consoles later it's pretty safe to say that he was utterly, completely wrong.

Where's Super Mario 3d Land? I mean it IS one of Nintendo's big hitters. Maybe they didn't want to draw attention to the fact that there's so many Mario games.

Well those still aren't BAD numbers. Also I have to wonder if they count the digital Eshop downloads.

I understand that piracy is an issue and should be fought, but what on earth does the US government has to do with foreign copyright laws and why should it have the power to alter them like Nintendo seems to want?

They should confront these countries' governments directly if they want to change something.

Maybe that was mind blowing for you, but my "mind blower" was Sunshine and after that the Galaxy games. Because Sunshine was my first Mario game I felt that the Galaxies truly innovated in their level design and overall feeling (live music etc.)
-For the record I later downloaded SM64 but couldn't get past the first few levels because of sloppy camera and slippery controls.

I agree with you. Nintendo should treat those parts of Europe where they release games in English (Fenno-Scandia, UK, Iceland, etc.) as one portion and those which need other languages as their own.

I read somewhere that one can't stream from any PC, it has to have Nvidia GTX GPU, which further narrows the possible market.

I don't believe it'll be a success but then again it's pretty early to say.

That restriction is absurd. There are very simple ways to block content for Germany only, but they decide to punish the rest of Europe as well.

That's because from DSi upwards all the consoles have been region locked, so ANY game that's from a different region than your console won't work.

Maybe we'll see something about Super Smash Bros. U? I mean it's a previously announced game. Or perhaps 3DS Zelda? Yeah, I know just wishful thinking.

I'm betting that it will (at least) arrive to regions with Netflix, so I'm crossing my fingers for a release here in Finland. Can't be too hopeful though since the Nintendo around here is pretty lazy.

Well PS3 IS a six year old console, so it shouldn't be surprising to anyone if a completely new console costs more.

I know you're the alpha troll of this forum so I can't tell if you're serious or not, but most of the stuff I play (for free ofc) on my Android is pretty forgettable. Certainly far from the best or even average Nintendo published games.

On topic I agree with Iwata at least at the moment. I haven't played a single game on my droid that has had nearly as much content or was as fun as well any game I've played on the 3DS.

It's free on Android and PC that's probably partly why it's so popular, at least that's the reason I bothered to download it.

I want HDMI, Nintendo Land and something that uses NFC-technology, cards or something like that, to come with the system. I'd be willing to pay 300-350€ for that kinda package.

Yeah, but remember that we also have 24% Value-Added Tax here in Finland so it's bound to cost more. There's really no point to buy Wii U here unless you order it from Åland.
On topic I think 300-350€ would be a good price.

I want to know will Wii U print money. Also their website didn't work using Chrome last year, so I had to resort to that crappy IE. I hope they've fixed it this time.

10 GB does sound quite big, but couldn't they compress the file for example .zip it.

I do like the idea of Nintendo Phone though. Maybe they could team up with Nokia.

I have the game on my droid, played it for ~half an hour and got bored to it, I don't really get all the fuss around it.

I too like TP, actually more than OOT, probably because I finished it before OOT. Tp is after WW my favourite game, at least better than that 8 NL gave it.

Gongrats, I visit here regularly too and even answered the survey.

Only thing i'd like to see is a mobile version, so it would be easier to visit the site using 3ds or phone.

Yeah many places here are selling it at 209-219€, though CD-ON.com has it at 179€ which I think is reasonable. Oh and I think the VAT is 23%. I got my 3ds few months ago, I traded my DSi for 3ds and OOT for 209€ at Gamestop.
