@Mountain_Man yeah that's exactly what I mean, their "front page" used to be waypoint.vice.com, which is it's own separate brand. Now the "front page" is vice.com, or I guess technically they have a "games" section too: https://www.vice.com/en_us/section/games
But I remember when they first launch Waypoint, the EIC Austin Walker came from GiantBomb.com, which is very much a video games site. (in fact inside joke is that they own the domain videogames.com) And they hired Patrick, who used to work for GiantBomb and Kotaku as well. But eh ¯(ツ)/¯
I hate that Vice rebranded Waypoint to Vice Games because it gave them much less credibility IMO as evidenced by all the comments above saying "Vice" is not a games site.
But anyway I do think Austin in that review expected too much from a silly anime action game, so of course he's disappointed. It's not fair at all to compare it to Nier: Automata.
You know, there actually haven't been a Tiger Woods game on PC since the Tiger Woods 08 (although an online only one is being made). Also you don't play with the keyboard, you use the mouse to emulate the swing (either horizontal or vertical). It was actually the most realistic way to control a golf game until the Wii came along. In fact I think it still feels quite natural to play it, but of course having the full motion is better. It's less work to use the mouse though.
I've been playing with the mouse way since they introduced it in the PGA Championship Golf series, before the developers got hired to do the Tiger Woods games, and it's still pretty fun.
Having said all that, I'm so getting this game for my Wii!

Re: Timothy And The Mysterious Forest Looks Like The Zelda: Link's Awakening Sequel We Never Got
Looks like the game is out on Steam already with reviews: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1096980/Timothy_and_the_Mysterious_Forest/
It sounds like the art is not made by the dev but from a third party: https://sodacoma.itch.io/awakening-complete-tileset
And it looks very different type of game than Zelda is, you don't seem to have swords or shields and apparently one single hit kills you.
Re: Round Up: Is Astral Chain A "Platinum-Plated Masterpiece" Or "Flavourless Disappointment"?
