Could the MH be an NX controller (like a Wii U gamepad), which can be used independently like a handheld without having to be in range of the NX? The hybrid rumours still would make sense this way.
@GloryQuestor Your wallet does carry over the next time you use a horse from the same owner. You only start with $300 if it's a horse from a new owner.
I don't think this game is as luck based as this review implies. It just may take a while to learn all of the different mechanics and strategies to get better at the game. At first luck might play a pretty big role, but now I tend to win most of the races when the other horses have similar or worse stats, and even quite often when they have better stats too.
About the price of items, they don't inflate, they're just random. It's just the first match that they're really cheap, after that they'll be randomly priced anywhere between $1,000 and $20,000 every time (from my experience). The same item might cost $20,000 one match and $1,000 the next. $10,000 isn't really that much for a puzzle piece either once you start winning a lot of races.
I've really been having a lot of fun with this game and can't find many flaws. Personally I feel like it deserves at least a 9.
@LemonSlice Nope that's not it. I can't remember the name, but the gameplay was pretty much the same as Hazumi. There was a ball you controlled and you could only remove bricks if the ball was the same colour as the brick. You could change the ball's colour by touching special bricks, just like the ones in this game.
I'll be getting Hazumi, SMT IV, Citizens of Earth (No idea if on 3DS, Wii U or Vita yet) and maybe Donkey Kong Country Returns if it's playable without Wiimote. There goes my New Year's resolution to buy less games this year.

Re: Western Localisation Of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Features Costume And Age Changes
Eventually we'll be getting localisations in which all girls are wearing burqas so muslims don't get offended.
Re: Feature: What We Expect from Nintendo Direct - 3rd March
I'm mostly hoping for news about European Fire Emblem Fates release and Genei Ibun Roku #FE.
Re: Nintendo Increases Investment in Niantic, Developer of Pokémon Go
@Kimite I'll definitely get one no matter what. I don't think I've ever been this hyped for a game before.
Re: Nintendo Increases Investment in Niantic, Developer of Pokémon Go
@ikki5 Neither do I, but Pokémon Go is more than enough to change that.
Re: Fantasy Life 2 Is Skipping 3DS In Favour Of Smartphones
This is the game I was most looking forward to. And now I won't even be able to play it since I don't own a smartphone. This is horrible.

Re: Hazumi
Whoa, I remember an MS-DOS game exactly like this that I loved. Definitely will be getting this!
Re: Monster Combine TD
Gameplay seems similar to Monster Monpiece for Vita (minus the card rubbing). Definitely interested in this.
Re: Game of the Year: Nintendo Life's Reader Awards 2014
I'd expected Fantasy Life to be placed higher. One of my all-time favourite games and definitely my GOTY of an already amazing year for gaming.
Re: Nintendo Download: 10th July (Europe)
Pokémon TCG is one of my all-time favourite games and I still play it every now and then. It'll be great to play on my 3DS from now on.

50 years later: What, you actually had to use your hands to play? You couldn't just control it with your mind?
