@Anti-Matter Well, given how I pushed my copy of Y past the max time; my NA download of YW3 (which is based on Sukiyaki, functionally its Yellow, Crystal or Platinum) was unlikely to ever reach that. Maybe I just didn't find the YW gameplay as engaging as you did, maybe it was Level-5's habit of putting the games alongside competitors myself and others gave more priority towards (why I'm both concerned about Inazuma Eleven if its new date finally sticks, and glad that Layton got bumped to next year); but the comparison never made sense to me. Barring the fact that they're both Japanese multimedia IP where people partner with monsters; the two were always diametrically opposed. Not against Holy Horror Mansion as a spiritual successor, but I would appreciate if Hino and others cooled it with their AI obsession (yeah, "not actual gameplay" and all that, but it's still keeping me from getting more interested).
@AmanPikon I don't know- think the "international failure" stigma did far more damage. My understanding is there was a plan to localize YW4; but the pandemic and the closure of Level-5 Abby functionally scrapped it.
@NatiaAdamo Yeah, I love the Ni No Kuni games; but I bailed on Cross Worlds the moment the crypto elements were integrated and didn't look back. I honestly don't know what's going to happen with this latest change; as this is slowly becoming more like the Road to Vigorous Development Hell.
Not really into Bakugan, and while there are valid points; it doesn't change the fact this looks like a sort of Kirkland brand, "food we have at home" version of any other monster-battle RPG I've seen in my life. I typically don't expect much from licensed games in general; but I do expect more from Wayforward. Hard pass, especially given how my feelings about this game haven't changed since the reveal and there are other; better games coming out I'm more into.
@Coffee_Drinker If not worse than the tie-in games they released on the Wii for the series' heyday in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Heck, I've played games in the Gamecube era that looked better than this; so I'm going to pass. Not into Bakugan, but I don't have high hopes.

Could just be a formality to make sure no one else takes it, but we'll see.

@Joeynator3000 I'll be sure to forward this article to the "Poorly Aged Things" account after the embargo breaks.
