Re: Nintendo Shifted A Boatload Of Hardware Last Week In US

Caliko

Great. Seems like Nintendo is making all the money on their own console this generation. Console and software wise. If third parties step it up they too can have a slice of cake.

I wonder how third parties will approach the Wii 2? Will HD graphics finally be enough to convince them to develop? Or will they continue with the whiny excuses? For me personally I don't care. Nintendo is my favorite software developer. Gimme Zelda, Wii Fit, Mario, Wii Sports, Metroid and I'm sold!

Re: Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Caliko

Nice to hear MickyWill!

I remember being disapointed at first when my dad brought this home for me he was like "This was on sale at Wal-Mart!!"
I was thinking "oh geez, a cheesy zombie game with a bland corny title."

I COULD NEVER THANK MY FATHER ENOUGH for introducing me to such a fun challenging and creative classic!!

Re: Free NES Game Offer Now Available!

Caliko

@ REN I was a launch "people" but I didnt get Wifi until around the time Smash Bros. Brawl came out.

Also I think a lot of people who didn't pay for the Internet Channel feel "ripped off" because we keep using the word "free" when it really isn't. We're being reimbursed for the 500 points we paid in the first place.

When I first bought the Internet Channel I didn't feel it was fair either but I didn't complain. I mean $5 for a TV web browser was a great deal and now that I'm being paid back it's just got better.

THANKS NINTENDO!!!!

Re: Black Wii Homes in on Europe

Caliko

I was hoping this would include the first Wiimote with integrated motion+.

Still no news on Nintendo Life about the free NES game for those who purchased the Internet channel huh?
Well its available NOW dudes!!

Re: Reggie Trash-Talks the PSPgo

Caliko

I think Nintendo needed Reggie. I mean with all the trash and propaganda Sony has thrown at Nintendo since the launch of the PS1 it's about time they've fired back.

Re: Review: Big Brain Academy (DS)

Caliko

WOW! I remember me and my friends all huddled up around my new DSlite when this first came out! It was a bucket of fun! We didnt take the test scores too serious either. The ironic part is that the single player is a lot more fun playing with friends than alone.

If you're a big fan of Brain Age you definitely need this as a side dish. Think a more funky/funner Brain Age. It's a lot more immature and doesn't take itself too serious. It won't show you statistics or tell you what to eat for breakfast, it's just good fun.

Re: E3 2009: Wii Vitality Sensor is Revealed

Caliko

@Sean

The device may have been unveiled too early. But looking at Nintendos track record I bet they'll unveil something amazing.
I remember a lot of people thinking the 2nd screen on the DS was pointless or a "gimmick".

Re: E3 2009: Wii Vitality Sensor is Revealed

Caliko

The absence of creativty here is dissapointing. I can think of 50 game ideas for this one Vitality Sensor. If I told you I'd be wasting my time here.

Takes me back to Wii Fit and Brain Age. I'll never forget the "Stupid Nintendo!!!!!1 Who wants to learn on a vodeogame console? its like skool! FAIL LOL" or the "People have gym memberships for that" comments.

Re: E3 2009: Nintendo's Announcements

Caliko

@pixelman:

Unfortunately they might have been let go. This is a trend at Nintendo and one you should expect.

First Rare, then Silicon Knights and now Retro?? Possibly.

But nevertheless Nintendo always hires a REALLY incredible 2nd Party and Team Ninja is incredible.

Re: E3 2009: Nintendo's Announcements

Caliko

@ Atlantis

Well last year they were like "Zomg!! No NEW MARIO?!?!? I HATE YOU NINTENDO!!"

Just because it isn't announced at E3 doesn't mean it's been abandoned. You know how much money Nintendo makes off Zelda and Mario?? And your gonna tell me they aren't working on those?

This year a new mario is announced and they still cry. I'm sick of these people.

Re: E3 2009: Nintendo's Announcements

Caliko

"Mario Galaxy 2 is likely to be a world away..."

Funny thing is you "H@rdC0r3" gamers want news sooner than it should be unveiled. Hypocrisy at its finest.

""the Metroid game I need to see more to be convinced it isn't Ninja Gaiden with Samus."

SERIOUSLY DUDE?? Were you even paying attention?? ITS TEAM NINJA, instead of Retro. Y'know the guys who created Viewtiful Joe/ Dead or Alive.

Re: Hey, You Got Your Rhythm Heaven In My iTunes!

Caliko

@damu
I use an ipod nano and haven't used an iTunes visualizer ever.
With that said, it's not that I'm disapointed with this visualizer itself I just read the title and thought Rythm Heaven songs were gonna be available on iTunes.

Re: Alien Hominid Joins The Meat Team

Caliko

But it makes the games unnecessarily frustrating. It would be nice to at least add 3 hits to Hominid. It was annoying having to respawn every 5 secs on the intense parts.

Re: Review: Secret of Mana (SNES)

Caliko

Easily one of the biggest time wasters in video game history. After reading about how much people liked it I decided to download it and give it a spin.

Tedious huge worlds, uninspiring music, horrible CPU allys (especially when they get stuck running into a corner/wall/bush). About 20 hours of boredom later I'm still wondering "oookay... When does the game get good??"

Re: Excitebots Crashes Out At Retail

Caliko

@ Zaphod

Big difference?
Anyways, I've played both ExciteTruck and Mario Kart and the prequel to Excitebots has WAAAY more accurate motion control(what you bought your Wii for) than Mario Kart and I hear Excitebots is more accurate still. It's a world of difference. I think Mario Kart was over rated.

Also I think I can explain the poor sales. Has anyone ever seen those horrible Chrysler and Ford Wii games in stores? A lot of people bought those and got burned. What about Jeep Thrills? I think people dismissed Excitebots as just another one of those...unfortunately.
