Re: Review: Water Warfare (WiiWare)

The only thing that annoys me about this game is that POS radar that does more harm than good. It takes up soooo much of the right side of the screen, it's easy to get blindsided from the right. I wish there was a way to turn it off... is there a way to turn it off? I couldn't find an option. =(

I don't understand why ppl won't buy a puzzle game because they got too many of them. I would understand if they were all Tetris clones but puzzlers usually are the most innovative gaming genre and have a huge variety. I will definately pick this one up if it's any good even though I have sooooooo many puzzlers.

I got it, the single player missions are fun and pretty diverse considering the simplicity of the game. I tried one multiplayer match (did I play anyone from the site?) just to see how it is and I liked it, I also won the match which put me in 1st place in my region, Brazil (probably because I'm the only person to play online in Brazil so far.

@Corbie
Cool! I'm really curious about it, I almost DL'd it yesterday but I decided not to because the last game I DL'd before the review came out was that Allstar Hockey Shootout... so ya, I don't do that no more.

Re: Review: NEVES Plus (WiiWare)

BrazCanaMan

This was a pleasant surprise, I DL'd it before the review came out and I was thinking it deserved at least an 8. A very simple yet complete and captivating puzzle game. Has anyone tried that Drill Seargant game yet? When will the review come out?
EDIT:
I had the DS version of Neves, so I kind of knew what to expect.

@Ricardo91 & all the people who don't know any better:
People consider it part of the 128 bit era because they are ignorant and think that just because a system is released after another it's automatically more bits. Do some research before you post.

@Corbie is (technically) right, after the Dreamcast, people stopped counting "bits", maybe it's because the video game companies ($ony, M$, Ninty) didn't want to have to waste time explaining how their system has a "smaller" processor but still produces better quality graphics than the Dreamcast because of the DVD format, graphics acceleration, etc. Or maybe they were afraid that if the public found out that they were selling a "weaker" system, they wouldn't sell as much. So they grouped all 6th generation falsely as "128 bit", just to feed the mob mentality (it's called marketing) and people, obviously, ate it up without asking any questions. Besides, it's not about the bits anymore, its about the graphics acceleration hardware (Nvidia, ATI, etc.) that makes todays systems super powerful, think of them as "mini-computers"... do you count the "bits" on your PC? No, you don't, you say what graphics card you have and how many Ghz is the processor.

EDIT:
@Ricardo91
Unless you a girl, don't wink at me =P

Re: WiiWare Poker Game Too Sexy For Australia

Obviuosly this game would flop if it came out. I'm just wondering if there would be as strong a censorship and controversy on this, if, instead of sexy girls stripping there were terrorists who would constantly swear during the round and whose head would explode every time you get three of a kind or something.

@Chicken Brutus: How do you know it's sexy nurses? =P

@Adam: Maybe by using credit card authorization, XBLA uses your birthday you enter at the initial setup of the system (obviously not everybody uses their real date, and I think you can change it in setup.)

Re: WiiWare Poker Game Too Sexy For Australia

BrazCanaMan

I can't beleive that people think it's cool to shoot someone between the eyes and watch their brains splatter, but the moment they see a boob (which we sucked on for the beginning of our lives by the way) they think it's too much and it must be banned.

Re: WiiWare Poker Game Too Sexy For Australia

Wow, that really bites. I understand not allowing violence in games (even though I love my games just like my steak... bloody) because it rewards hurting, dismembering, decapitating, maiming, and even goring which could (I'm not saying it does) warp some more impressionable minds... But c'mon, no nudity? What's the worst thing that can happen? Some guy gets "happy" and spends some ca$h at the local "fun house"? That's actually good for the economy, if you think about it...
Oh well, I'm happy I live in Brazil, where nudity runs rampant and I have no problem with it.

Re: Fish'em All

It's... not exactly... a fishing game... is it? I'm with KnucklesSonic8, it needs a good review (8 or 9, which I highly doubt) for me to even consider getting this "netting" game.

Re: Nintendo Download: Popstars, WiiWare Remakes and Clay Fighting (US)

BrazCanaMan

I'm not gonna complain about this weeks WW, but I was REALLY hoping for S&S and/or Icarian. But at least we still get two quality titles, so no harm done. Why is everyone so eager to get SSB64? I mean, it will be SSB with less characters, less items, and just less overall. I love classics, but in SSB's case newer is better.

Re: Frobot

Wii definately need more original ideas like this one! I hope it turns out good. Totally keeping an eye on this one.
