Great! The earlier the better, seeing as I used all the money I got for my twelth birthday on April 11th to preorder Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus Uprising and Star Fox 64, these can't come soon enough! I'll probably get Cave Story 3D and Sonic Generations for christmas.
@Chose85 What a rip off!!! I got mine on Amazon on Launch Day for £182 without having to trade anything in! Back on the subject, seeing as GAME are always overpriced, and Amazon was selling the 3DS' for £40 less than GAME on launch, does this mean we could see something around the £120 mark? This would make the 3DS not far off the DS Lite launch price, and less than the DSi and DSi XL Launch Prices! Wow!
I agree with Ryathehedgehog, although I suppose it's something you have to deal with for buying at launch, among numerous other things.... Still, hope this boosts the 3DS' sales!!!
I know loads of people want The Prime Series to stay dead, but I really want it to be revisited on 3DS and possibly Wii U. Being only 12, I missed out on most of the earlier Metroids and Prime was my first experience of the series, which I finished about a year ago. I finished Corruption as well, but never Echoes. I just really hope that it's decided to make a Prime 4, the secret ending in Corruption seemed to suggest there may be a sequel, as it was set up quite nicely with the Ship following Samus.
Prime is definitely the best of the Trilogy, and easily deserves a 10! Looking forward to the Echoes review! In my view Echoes is worthy of 9, while prime and Corruption are worthy of 10. All brilliant games though!
I have 34 DS Games, I suppose if your not a gamer you's only be buying say, Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros, Nintendogs and then 2 or 3 more that you just happen to pick up. Non-gamers always seem to have those 3 games.
I see this as a good thing, it just means more sales later on. I'm constantly following the figures on VGChartz.com, and noticed the slump in sales too.
How could people have 300 Mii's? I have had two Streetpass hits, and one of which was my brother. Of course I've used my play coins and finished 1 and a half of the puzzles and are very nearing the end of Streetpass Quest, but isn't the whole point of these games to use your collected Mii's?
If they hadn't announced it this E3, there would have been nothing left to announce at next E3 because everybody would already know what Wii U is. Also, if they'd demonstrated the Wii U at next E3, wouldn't it be launched within the next 6 months latest?
I didn't mind before this letter was published anyway, I had already forgiven Nintendo, because as I keep saying, we get 20 free games. Not nothing at all. Not just a letter saying sorry, not just one awful port of a game nobody gives a damn about. 20, good quality games developed by oh so great Nintendo who recognize we are their loyal customers and are trying their very best to compensate us. We could have been left with nothing. I rest my case! :-/
That is harsh. I'd give it a 7.5, I was really impressed especially by the great 3D effects and wide variety of game options. Also the fact that this isn't a minigame like most of DSiWare, it is a proper game with a progressive career with lots of unlockables. I don't think it's amazing but it's good. 7.5 in my opinion.
NGamer gave it 72, although, whilst it gave The Grappling Ghost's Minigame 88 (Wow) being the highest scoring minigame on the disk, it gave Flutter Fly 30. Seems like the minigames ranged quite drastically. Basically, Ngamer said that Nintendo had made some great games from really unusual concepts, whereas some were too unusual to work.
My mum has Bobby Carrot on her 20 year old phone. I always used to play it about five years ago when I was 7, and for some reason it is strangely addictive.
I think the price drop is a good idea. I am an early adopter, and therefore will be getting free games. Although I completely understand that some won't want these games due to already owning them, or just wanting something new, but you have to keep in mind that Nintendo could have left us to bear the grunt of the price drop with nothing to soften the blow.
I also think that the price drop is quite a good idea, as many more will be enticed into buying a 3DS, however, my concern is, was this 100% necessary? If Nintendo had waited until the launch of Super Mario and Mario Kart 7, would that not have increased the sales?
And finally, I'm sure I heard somewhere near launch that the 3DS only cost £60/$100 to build, and I'm not sure about labour and all the rest, but I think Nintendo will still be scraping a profit from each 3DS. I'll post a link with the source soon.
Ah well, I suppose we have other stuff to keep us entertained until then, although I don't see why America should get it first. Still, Mario Kart, Super Mario, it's not like it's bad in comparison to the launch until now.
@johnhood, I paid £167 on Launch although as £160 is the recommended price, I'd expect it to be lower. £230 was the original recommended launch price, but I got it about £60 cheaper. I'd expect it to be about £140 in most places after the price drop.
Nice to know. If I have £30 spare after the rush of buying all those great games around November & December, I might pre-prder or pick this up near launch.
@WarioWare, yep I managed to get mine for £168 on Launch Day without having to trade anything in so I'm not that fussed, plus, all you who are planning to buy it now will miss out on the 20 free E-Shop games!
TBH, seeing as this is a score based game, it would make hardly any difference, but yeah, this is getting ludicrous. Can't they see people will refuse to buy their games due to this factor? Bad move Namco.
Well done KI on getting your story over here on NL, looks like you and I managed to spread the word on the cases well! Hope you continue to get lots of orders!

That's, well slightly unfair on me and a few other who bought on launch or before...

Re: Metroid Celebrates its 25th Anniversary Today
Happy Birthday Miss Samus! Good to know NL recognise the 25th anniversary, Nintendo should really throw on a party for Samus.

Re: Japanese 3DS Sales Slump Coincided with Price Cut Announcement
@James, so people must be trying to buy used 3DS' at a reduced price so they can get the 20 free games as well, that wouldn't be good for Nintendo.

Re: Koizumi has "Too Many Ideas" for Mario on Wii U
There's a load of people saying to move away from Galaxy, although I think it could work well on Wii U.
Personally, I'd like a 'Galaxy Style' Game but not Galaxy 3. Basically just a free roaming 3D world.

Re: Rumour: Kirby's Amazing Mirror for 3DS GBA Virtual Console
I've played Kirby Amazing Mirror and won it but unfortunately lost it a while ago so that would be great for me! :
DAs for SMB3, that would be good aswell. However, still hoping for Mario & Luigi SuperStar Saga!!! :)

@mariofanatic Yeah i suppose, although that is just for the raw materials, maybe there are large costs to fit it together? I don't know....

I'm really annoyed that USA is getting Kid Icarus this holiday and were getting in first quarter of 2012. The Release Dates Better be something like -
USA - December 31
Europe - January 1

Nice to know Nintendo does care about it's loyal customers!
@jtr235 Your an ambassador if you bought the 3DS before August the 12th so yes you are an ambassador.
Re: From April to June, Nintendo Only Sold 700,000 3DS Consoles
Well, due to the upcoming games, free e-shop games and massive price drop, I would assume this would boost sales massively.
