Re: Rumour: MTV Has Release Dates for Mario 3DS Outings

Blaze

Great! The earlier the better, seeing as I used all the money I got for my twelth birthday on April 11th to preorder Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus Uprising and Star Fox 64, these can't come soon enough! I'll probably get Cave Story 3D and Sonic Generations for christmas.

Re: UK Retail Pegs 3DS for New £140 Price Point

Blaze

@Chose85 What a rip off!!! I got mine on Amazon on Launch Day for £182 without having to trade anything in! Back on the subject, seeing as GAME are always overpriced, and Amazon was selling the 3DS' for £40 less than GAME on launch, does this mean we could see something around the £120 mark? This would make the 3DS not far off the DS Lite launch price, and less than the DSi and DSi XL Launch Prices! Wow!

Re: Feature: Staff Roundtable - Metroid's Past, Present and Future

Blaze

I know loads of people want The Prime Series to stay dead, but I really want it to be revisited on 3DS and possibly Wii U. Being only 12, I missed out on most of the earlier Metroids and Prime was my first experience of the series, which I finished about a year ago. I finished Corruption as well, but never Echoes. I just really hope that it's decided to make a Prime 4, the secret ending in Corruption seemed to suggest there may be a sequel, as it was set up quite nicely with the Ship following Samus.

Re: Review: Metroid Prime (GameCube)

Blaze

Prime is definitely the best of the Trilogy, and easily deserves a 10! Looking forward to the Echoes review! In my view Echoes is worthy of 9, while prime and Corruption are worthy of 10. All brilliant games though!

Re: Nintendo DS Sales Figures Make Wii's Look Tiny

Blaze

I have 34 DS Games, I suppose if your not a gamer you's only be buying say, Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros, Nintendogs and then 2 or 3 more that you just happen to pick up. Non-gamers always seem to have those 3 games.

Re: Nintendo Won't Keep Miis Cooped Up in the Plaza

Blaze

How could people have 300 Mii's? I have had two Streetpass hits, and one of which was my brother. Of course I've used my play coins and finished 1 and a half of the puzzles and are very nearing the end of Streetpass Quest, but isn't the whole point of these games to use your collected Mii's?

Re: Iwata Admits E3 Wii U Reveal was Earlier Than Planned

Blaze

If they hadn't announced it this E3, there would have been nothing left to announce at next E3 because everybody would already know what Wii U is. Also, if they'd demonstrated the Wii U at next E3, wouldn't it be launched within the next 6 months latest?

Re: Iwata Writes Open Letter to 3DS Owners to Say Sorry

Blaze

I didn't mind before this letter was published anyway, I had already forgiven Nintendo, because as I keep saying, we get 20 free games. Not nothing at all. Not just a letter saying sorry, not just one awful port of a game nobody gives a damn about. 20, good quality games developed by oh so great Nintendo who recognize we are their loyal customers and are trying their very best to compensate us. We could have been left with nothing. I rest my case! :-/

Re: Review: Let's Golf! 3D (3DSWare)

Blaze

That is harsh. I'd give it a 7.5, I was really impressed especially by the great 3D effects and wide variety of game options. Also the fact that this isn't a minigame like most of DSiWare, it is a proper game with a progressive career with lots of unlockables. I don't think it's amazing but it's good. 7.5 in my opinion.

Re: Review: Wii Play: Motion (Wii)

Blaze

Harsh. And long.

NGamer gave it 72, although, whilst it gave The Grappling Ghost's Minigame 88 (Wow) being the highest scoring minigame on the disk, it gave Flutter Fly 30. Seems like the minigames ranged quite drastically. Basically, Ngamer said that Nintendo had made some great games from really unusual concepts, whereas some were too unusual to work.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Makes Bold Move with the 3DS

Blaze

I think the price drop is a good idea. I am an early adopter, and therefore will be getting free games. Although I completely understand that some won't want these games due to already owning them, or just wanting something new, but you have to keep in mind that Nintendo could have left us to bear the grunt of the price drop with nothing to soften the blow.

I also think that the price drop is quite a good idea, as many more will be enticed into buying a 3DS, however, my concern is, was this 100% necessary? If Nintendo had waited until the launch of Super Mario and Mario Kart 7, would that not have increased the sales?

And finally, I'm sure I heard somewhere near launch that the 3DS only cost £60/$100 to build, and I'm not sure about labour and all the rest, but I think Nintendo will still be scraping a profit from each 3DS. I'll post a link with the source soon.

Re: Kid Icarus Definitely Slips to 2012 in Europe

Blaze

Ah well, I suppose we have other stuff to keep us entertained until then, although I don't see why America should get it first. Still, Mario Kart, Super Mario, it's not like it's bad in comparison to the launch until now.

Re: FAQ: Nintendo Ambassador Program and Free eShop Games

Blaze

@johnhood, I paid £167 on Launch although as £160 is the recommended price, I'd expect it to be lower. £230 was the original recommended launch price, but I got it about £60 cheaper. I'd expect it to be about £140 in most places after the price drop.
