Love the look of this and the artwork is fantastic. Kind of reminds me of Munchkin gameplay wise. My only concern with it would be the replayability. Seems like after a heavy weekend of gaming with friends, you could come out of it knowing all the answers, which kind of negates the challenge. They mention there's something in mind for this, but my interest in the game would depend on whatever that hook is.
Will keep an eye on it, but more of a post-funding grab for me, I think. Maybe if I see it in Travelling Man on a rainy Wednesday
I'd have bought it already, but I've asked for it for Christmas, wonder if that's similar for a lot of potential buyers. I know my copy won't be bought until the last shopping trip before Christmas
Either way, can't wait. Gonna be like a kid on Christmas morning again
Nah, been there. I left the games industry after 8 years of QA because the wages and QoL offerings are just not there. It's one of those jobs that's really attractive on the outside, but not one I'd ever want to return to.
I can't speak for Creatures Inc, but I'm happy to leave the OT and crunch behind
A real shame, as I've not long finished the game and honestly, after the slog it was getting through the issues it's kind of soured my interest in revisiting. I'm talking, like, replaying the same dungeon and boss 3 times because I was unlucky enough to get a certain chest, that on opening, would freeze the game 100% of the time. That memory leak too, not sure what the cause is, but having to completely quit the game to gain any semblance of playable performance got old quick.
I do have a 1st gen Switch still, but I've never played another game that's driven me to almost going out and buying an OLED like this before.
Also, I didn't realise that it was a bug that only 6 cultists enter the church at once, I just assumed it was a weird design flaw. I had to fail so many quests because Cultist X wasn't present for me to perform Ritual Y.
I had something similar with Blasphemous recently, where I fought my way through this tricky section, eventually leading to a boss. The boss battle was great and I really enjoyed it, but once I learned it was related to a free update and not the core game, I kind of felt like I'd wasted time I could have spent working my way through the core game content. I felt like I'd made sideways progress.
I do know that this free content is tied to the "true" ending, but I was kind of set on getting some form of "original" ending before I even started to worry about bolt-ons.

Can't wait for the Dr Eggman content. Love the little tease in the trailer where you can see the Death Egg Robot in the background

Still a fantastic game though.
