Re: Rumour: Star Fox Zero Facing Development Niggles, Another Delay Could Happen

Aurelis

While I didn't loathe the game like some people, the reception to Other M has me firmly in the "delay and make it better for the sake of the franchise" camp.

I'm not convinced the game is quite as bad as people think, some criticisms have always seemed weird to me, as the game LOOKS like a Star Fox game, and when people say stuff like "it looks too slow" it makes me wonder when they last played SF64 (which was about the same).

I would rather this game get "Revenganced" than release to a poor reception, because I love the series and if it wasn't for the Gamepad integration the game looks like a proper Star Fox game to me, but people seem to be taking against the controls (even though I thought they were optional?).

Then again, Other M was well received for the most part until the fans got hold of it, with most of the complaints focused on the story, so the situations seem quite different. If the game is great but with somewhat awkward controls as the only flaw (like Kid Icarus) then I'll take it.

@MarioPhD I would expect new players would simply need to beat the final boss to unlock Octolings, and perhaps you could fight them but they don't appear in the plaza (explaining why they can cause save issues when running into hackers since they're not meant to appear as NPCS). Instead they would perhaps have a separate version of the plaza that you switch to as an Octoling.

Re: Miiverse Gets a Major Web Redesign, and Introduces Adverts

Adblock is pretty much vital but this is pretty awful if you use mobile to access the site since it's harder to block ads. I think it's pretty shocking that they've done this, and I'm worried it's a slippery slope from here until it's on the Wii U itself. At that point I start losing sympathy with Nintendo.

Re: Video: Learn How to Clear The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past in Under Two Minutes

I think the problem with glitch runs like this isn't that they exist, since they can be interesting, but more so that once they're found, nobody seems to bother doing glitch-free runs. Sure, they exist, but they don't grab people's attention when you've videos saying "Zelda beat in two minutes" floating around, so instead people just hunt for whatever glitch will beat it faster. Eventually someone will glitch their way to the ending from the title screen somehow, and that'll be that.
