@SirLink But both are being installed on your switch2 in the end. Wouldn't you rather have a keycard which gives you the possibility to sell when you're done with the game or gift it to a friend maybe?
@Olliemar28 Cronos 8% on switch 2 isn't weak at all, in fact it's about as good as the ps5 sales, considering how many ps5's have been sold. That's roughly 85 million ps5's vs 7 million switch 2's. So it's about the same attachment rate. I'd like to know why you think the sales on the Switch 2 was weak, mathematically speaking it's in the same ballpark as PS5
@Fiskern There are roughly 85 million ps5's vs 7 million switch 2 out there and a lot more pc's. So if you compare ps5 vs switch 2 sales, it's about the same attachment rate. So this article title makes no sense.
@Axelay71 the question is, do those two games you mention both require a download before you're able to play it on your ps5? If so, then there would be no difference between the ps5 and switch 2 physical versions. Both would need a download first and both can be resold. Which means if they decide one day to remove the download from the store... the disc or cart will be useless. But if they don't need a download to be able to be played, then i understand your decision. On the other hand, you wouldn't be able to play in handheld on the plane for example.
I'm too attached to the hybrid way of playing and after my ps4 i haven't gotten a reason to buy a ps5 yet, no system sellers there for me personally.
Cronos 8% on switch 2 isn't bad at all, in fact it's about as good as the ps5 sales, considering how many ps5's have been sold.

So that article title is wrong.
@Spider-Kev says who? Don't believe all the rumors on the net. And I'm sure if they would have finished the products, Nintendo would have paid them for their work.
@nocdaes they would not triple the memory for a switch pro, that would be too big of a difference. There are several possible reasons Nintendo waited this long with the switch 2. 1. Nintendo never sells their system at a loss unlike Microsoft and Sony. Waiting longer might mean lower component prizes. 2. Developing hardware takes time, so whatever chip there will be in there or in a Playstation or Xbox, the tech will be a couple of years old. Nintendo takes this a step further to keep the costs down, their consoles have to be affordable for the average person and they have to make money with it from the beginning. 3. Nintendo also said a couple of years ago that developing games takes more time nowadays. So because switch was still doing well enough, it gave them the opportunity to keep working on games so there won't be many gaps like Playstation 5 has. With the switch they solved this problem by re releasing Wii U titles. They don't have that luxury now.
There were no NEW announcements that were interesting for me personally. So i didn't like this direct. The only game i want out of this is The Plucky Squire. I already played Epic Mickey on the Wii, which i liked, but I'm not going to pay 60 euro to play it again in hd. The only Nintendo made game releasing in 24 I'd like to have is Zelda. So... I hope they don't make us wait for the next switch till September/October 2025, that would be a big gap of not much interesting to do on the switch (for me). I want the next big game from Nintendo like a new 3d Mario game, and that will most likely be a switch 2 exclusive to sell the system. Metroid will be that cross gen game just like Zelda was for the wii u and switch.

@user0 Just wondering, you don't want a gamekeycard because of game preservation reasons?

I'll wait till the Switch 2 launches and they release a switch 2 version. I'm in no hurry with this one
