Yeah, they've reused the same assets since the first game. EO4 animated them but it was still a lot of the same artwork as a base. It wouldn't be an Atlus game if they didn't exploit all of those visual assets to make about 50 games lol
I want this thing to work just because I feel like the more people playing the system, the more games we'll get. I don't care about the 3D issue as much as some people do. It's not like I'd be able to play a lot of these games on the original DS or DSi with the same level of graphics otherwise.
I'm still not sold on it though. Probably just because I love the 3DSXL so much. The cheap factor can't be disputed though. I definitely think that price point is going to catch some fence-sitters
I'm so excited for this game. Story mode + classic mode ought to deliver on all counts. It is really hard to go back to the original game after all the refinements they've made over the years too so it was in need of a revamp.
This comment thread is ridiculous. It's like if a crowbar company tweeted a picture of the crowbar being used to break into a bank and then we started arguing about whether crowbars themselves were illegal.
Obviously advertising that your console can easily play ROMs of old games was a stupid move but you people who think emulators are illegal are completely ridiculous. Honestly for a pack of fans who purport to be so enthusiastic about these old consoles, you far to readily dismiss an excellent type of software that provides a convenient and easy access to homebrew. And no, I'm not going to wade into the "emulators are only used to play illegal backups" argument. They are tools, nothing more. Without emulation and flash cartridges, there would be tons of great Atari 2600 homebrew that I would never have gotten to play. I'm glad you people don't write the laws.
I enjoy Street Pass but I work overnight so I usually only score 1-3 hits a week. It hasn't really been enough to get anywhere in Find Mii. I don't know if I'm ready to spend money to add more games.
Oh good. Super easy mode so I can plow through the story, followed by expert mode on classic setting where the real meat of the game is. Atlus always does a great job of delivering for the fans
What kind of world do we live in where mature is defined as "bloody violence and gratuitous sex" ? I suppose it would be better if the title replaced the word mature with sophisticated.
I still think Link's Awakening is a gorgeous game. Perfect mix of quirky humor, classic Zelda gameplay, and aesthetic design. It is definitely my favorite Zelda game.
Put this man to work on an action-RPG series right away. Good things could happen from marrying some of Zelda's mechanics with a deeper role-playing system.
I'm definitely looking forward to some more details on X. I don't even really care what's going on with Microsoft at this point though Sony might be able to grab my attention.
I will welcome the return of Rock Band. It isn't a series I got tired of so much as a series I ran out of time for. The whole plastic instrument genre needed a rest though. It had a good run and hopefully people will welcome it back when it returns.
@belmont Maverick Hunter X is one of my favorite games of all time. I am still mad that X2 and X3 didn't get the same treatment. Talk about an amazing remake. I loved Vile mode.
@Jayvir If all else fails collect as many power ups as you can. They make most of the bosses a lot easier. The special weapons tend to have extra effects on the bosses that are weak to those weapons so once you get one it becomes easier to get the others.
gah, I don't really care for Ghosts n' Goblins but it is a good game to torture friends with. Deal sounds good and not much more than buying X outright. Guess I gotta get both.

Re: Capcom Reveals More on Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies
I'm still made we didn't get Edgie's second game but this is a day 1 purchase for sure. Best series ever.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf Will Need Over 6000 Blocks On Your SD Card
32 GB cards are cheap these days. Anyone who plans to get digital content like this ought to pick one up.
Re: You Can Now Use Your GameCube Pad On Your Wii U
Umm cool but I'll take the Classic Controller Pro or the Wii U Pro over a GCN controller.
Wavebird was nice back in the day but is far from my favorite controller.
Re: Ian Livingstone: Nintendo Should Have Their IP On Every Platform
I love the backhanded compliment there "Hurr hurr to bad no one will play awesome Nintendo games since no one buys Nintendo hardware"
Get real.
