The first time I’d heard about this game series was a few months ago when reading mention of it getting ported to Switch. At the time MudRunner was on sale for about £7 so took a change, downloaded it and fell in love with its laidback, relaxing gameplay. So SnowRunner along with all it’s DLC ended up being a day one for me and I’ve been having a blast with it this week.
Indicating which don't need Nintendos cloud save because they use their own server backup would be helpful. Lightseekers, Warhammer and Fortnite are three that I'm aware of.
I chose the Black Eagles for my playthrough as well and enjoyed most of the class members, even ones that annoyed me at first, like Linhardt finally grew on me. On my second playthough now and chose Blue Lions, but every opportunity I get I'm trying to coax timid little Bernadette back into my class. She became this badass mass murdering assassin on my first playthrough who was MVP most battles, I'd be a fool not to want her back on the team.
@Vepra I completely agree with you, it’s one of the most tactical CCG’s I’ve played and far from being a Hearthstone clone. It’s also be no means pay to win, the 4 starter decks are very well constructed and contain a few of the “essential” cards, also within your first few dozen games it throws card packs at you far more than Hearthstone ever has so have plenty of cards to adjust those starter decks and make them more personal. Apart from the gameplay and theme (both of which a perfect for me) the one thing that pushed this above most other CCGs is being able to scan physical cards in to the game, being able to purchase cards and have a digital equivalent is huge, I can build a deck home then before playing it against a friend or at a store I can test that same online without having to purchase additional cards. Also as with most digital items the physical cards are much cheaper so no need to ever use IAP.

@NinChocolate “ Can you really apply modern analysis tools to a mushroom kingdom from the 1980’s? Doesn’t it break something?”
Yes, it breaks my heart.

Looking forward to playing these two games at some point, just not straightaway as have Subnautica preordered and downloaded ready for Friday.
