Earlier this year, Bandai Namco announced a new free-to-play 24 player battle royale - based on the My Hero Academia universe - would be coming to the Nintendo Switch and multiple other platforms in Japan.
Now, during this weekend's Anime Expo, it's been confirmed the game will be receiving a western release. Pre-registrations for the Closed Beta on PlayStation 4 have now opened. And as part of this announcement, a new trailer has been released - showcasing some cinematics as well as the gameplay.
As you can see, all the major characters from the show will feature - from heroes like All Might, Deku and even Tsuyu "Froppy" Asui. Heroes will select from assault, support or disruption classes in battle, team up with others, and use their "Quirks" to fight.
There's no word on a local release date just yet, but if we hear any updates, we'll let you know.

I know I’m signing up! I know everyone is sick of br but at least a anime one is a nice Chang of pace.
I don't know if it's just me but I see "free to play" and my eyes glaze over.

Why can't they call the games "My Hero Academia"?
Spellbreak 2.0
Everyone on my Switch friend list plays Fortnite so I expect they'll be right at home with this. Me though? not so much I'm just tired of seeing Battle Royale.
this is awsome
but it makes me wonder, why has nobody talked about My Hero One's Justice 2?
since that game's lauch, it had 10 DLC characters
Set in the My Hero universe? I don't see Ardal O'Hanlon in that trailer.
@UltimateOtaku91 Bandai has a surprisingly good history in supporting their online games long after launch. I’d trust Bandai to keep the game running at least 4 years, which by that point most people will have moved on anyways.
I love My Hero Academia, so at the very least I might check it out.
Heck yeah! They even made an effort to dub this one!! Can't wait. Time to sell my my hero one justice 2 copy lol.
