Limited Run Games has shared the first details about the River City Girls physical release.
If you want to "kick butt and take names" as Kyoko and Misako, you'll be able to pre-order a hard copy of the game for Switch or PlayStation 4 from 30th August onwards. Pre-orders will be available for a total of four weeks.
Here's a first look at the colourful box art, although, it is subject to change:
LRG will throw in a one-disc soundtrack sampler with every standard copy of River City Girls as well. There are also plans to make the entire soundtrack available - with more details to be revealed in the coming weeks.
A few days ago, WayForward also uploaded a trailer spotlighting Kyoko. This follows on from one highlighting Misako.
And in case you missed it, we spoke with the River City Girls director Adam Tierney earlier this week about this "crazy interpretation" of the Kunio-kun brand.
Will you be pre-ordering a copy of River City Girls later this month? Or do you plan to download the game when it arrives this September? Leave a comment below.

Have to say I’m tempted by this one. Anyone know how much these games usually sell for on limited run games?
@datamonkey Too much.
Cool, will consider as a WayForward fan.
Limited Run and WayForward sure are good buds lately.
Well, this is an odd choice of release.
Only because it is receiving a retail release in Japan and Asia (with English support, apparently), so this release is arguably redundant, though the Western edition may also contain European languages (I can't tell at the moment as its page isn't yet available in the eShop). The Asian edition apparently only contains English, Japanese, and S/T Chinese.
Either way, I prefer this release as the packaging will be entirely in English, and may also contain any software updates on the cartridge (it should at least be up-to-date at the time that the cartridges are manufactured).
Definitely getting this. Day one purchase!
