The launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is very nearly upon us, and to tempt a few more people to part with their hard-earned cash Nintendo has convinced producer Eiji Aonuma to step in front of camera for 15 minutes in order to show you the ropes.
The first video - which will be part of a series - Aonuma shows the basic run of play for a typical game. First, you select your mode - online, local or download play - and then you chose an area to enter. There's then a wait for other players to arrive, after which you pick your level and outfit.
As you'll know if you're read our preview, the gameplay is based around solving puzzles as a team. Upon completing a stage you arrive at a chest which contains materials which can be used to craft new costumes.
The video is entirely in Japanese, but even so, you get a feel of what the game will play like. Check it out and let us know if this has you feeling a little bit better about that pre-order you placed ages ago.

Does he mention Zelda Wii U at all?
Yeah, I won't be picking this up at all.
Still not buying it. I don't have 2 people to play with. If I did, I'd maybe consider it.
Getting unsure about this one.
First Zelda-related game since Link's Crossbow Training that I won't be buying.
Has Nintendo Life mentioned anything about the daft region lock multi-player, in that you can only play with folks in your country/region?
Silliest thing they have 'implemented' since the Friends Code made an unwelcome return from the original Wii to the Wii U.
I'm looking forward to this game! Loads of fun with my friends!
Hate to say it, but this game looks an absolute travesty. A blemish on the Zelda franchise.
This is how Nintendo should do their Nintendo Direct presentations.
@Peek-a-boo
I haven't looked into this, but I don't see why just playing with NA region a bad thing. I am against region locks and such of course, but when it comes to online, are you looking forward to play again JP's and EU's?
I'm really not interested in a "for the lols" low budget Zelda game and this has done little to convince me otherwise.
Crossdressing Link = Instabuy.
I have two friends to play it with. Even if they happen to be unavailable from time to time, online multiplayer will do for me.
@whodatninja Why should he? It's a short preview of a completely different game.
If I had a 3DS, I would totally but that game.
@whodatninja Do you read article titles at all?
@LunaticPandora You mean because it looks like any other Zelda game? I don't get what's blemishy about that.
Princess Link is best Princess.
Link in a dress? Yes please XD
@shani I read it. It's just annoying how quiet he is about Zelda Wii U. We haven't heard ANYTHING in months.
I'm really gutted they've made this instead of a proper Link Between Worlds sequel. So much of Nintendo's output this year has been multiplayer focused it just feels like they've released virtually nothing I've wanted to buy.
Too much reliance on cooperation. Yes I understand that's the whole point of the game but when it comes to games there's nothing that ruins a game faster then having to cooperate. Either someone is WAY ahead of the rest or someone is WAY behind the rest or someone is trying to hog the spotlight. It wouldn't be too bad if it was local cause then you could talk to the people your playing with. That would be fun but I don't know two more people who will be getting this game. If I do get it I'll wait for a sale or promotion. I'm just glad there is a single player mode.
@whodatninja I know, and I'm as eager as you for that game. I'd love to play Legend of Zelda U rather today than tomorrow.
But let the guy(s) do his work. In my opinion, instead of giving some tidbits to fans, Aonuma & Co. should be solely spending their time & energy on polishing and finishing that big Wii U game .
HOPEFULLY they make it where we can join or create lobbies so we can play with our friends on line instead of just joining random all the time.
Only two more weeks and I get to play this with my friends.
Link is the prettiest Princess.
