We reported late last year that 'sick' indie skateboarding title OlliOlli would be making an appearance on Nintendo consoles in early 2015, and now the hype is real. Publisher Curve Digital, the same company that brought indie hits such as The Swapper and Thomas Was Alone to Nintendo platforms, has confirmed that its port of Roll7's skateboarding sim will be making its way to both Wii U and 3DS eShops in mid-March.
To give you a sense of how the light-hearted way this one's approached, below is an excerpt from the announcement.
Roll7's Simon Bennett commented, "We're really glad that Xbox and Nintendo players finally have a version of OlliOlli to call their own. We've always seen OlliOlli as a game for everyone and with Curve's versions, now it totally can be.". He then pulled off a sick-ass kick flip and rode a nose manual off into the sunset.
Though the company has confirmed OlliOlli's imminent release, the lack of a specific date is a little sketchy. You might not want to bail on this one though, as the PS Vita version was held in high regard on our sister site Push Square. Based on Curve's previous work, we're expecting this port to hold up just as well.
Let us know how stoked you are for this one in the comments below.

May look into this once it's released.
One of my favourites from last year. The quality of indie titles on wii U has gone up dramatically in the last 6 months.
Looking forward to this, seems like an addictive little time waster.I'll be taking advantage of that promo this week and downloading all 4 of their titles.I haven't played any of them yet but I already know I'll enjoy them.I wasn't going to bother with Thomas Was Alone but buying that first then getting the other 3 works out to be the best deal overall.Ultratron also looks fantastic and just my kind of game.Great to see a British developer/publisher with such a consistent level of quality, kind of like how Codemasters were in the 90's.Lets hope they stick with Nintendo going forward.
@Peach64 Yep, great titles like Meme run can make ya buy a Wii U alone
One of the best skating games I've played since Tony Hawk and SKATE.
Curve seem to be doing an excellent job bringing games to wii u in particular, glad to have them as part of the eshop

I don't remember that level but suddenly I'm inspired to play more of this game.
Getting this day 1. I already have Stealth 2 and Thomas. Might get the other two as well.
I will definitely buy this. I was hoping it would come out tomorrow, but oh well.
OlliOlli is a fun little game, got it on PS4. It can be challenging but quite entertaining.
Whoa, how can you talk about Curve Digital and not mention the masterpiece that was The Lone Survivor?
This looks fun enough. Conflicted about whether to get it on 3DS or Wii U, if I do buy it. Anyone know what the price was on the Vita version?
I have been playing this on PS3 and it really is a fun game. Never would've imagined that you could make arcade fun out of skateboarding.
Damnit, I thought you played as that giant robot. Massive disappointment.
Curve Digital with OlliOlli
Two Tribes with RIVE
Broken Rules with BLEK
Shin'en with FAST
Image&Form with SteamWorld Heist
Nifflas with Affordable Space Adventures
The eShop is gonna be great (in Europe at least).
Look at the releases just for this year. Good/Great games like Underground, Chariot, Citizens of Earth, Shantae, Alphadia Genesis. Even Rock 'N Racing Off Road is decent and full of potential. Frenchy Bird is the only bad eShop game this year, so far.
