Pragmata (Switch 2)

Platform

Game-Key Card

Capcom is betting all of its chips on the Switch 2, with all of its major releases coming to the new console in 2026. So far, anyway. Pragmata's Switch 2 version, announced at the The Game Awards 2025, was a shock to us. And this is Capcom going big and bold, blending action, hacking, and sci-fi environments.

You'll be carrying around android Diana, who looks like a little girl but has the ability to hack her way through defense systems. This and Kunitsu-Gami show the developer is willing to branch out and try something different, like it used to.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight (Switch 2)

Launch date
29th May 2026
Platform
Switch 2
Physical?
TBC

The Bat is Back in Brick Form, and he's going open world. When it was revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was our favourite reveal. Mixing in some Arkham series elements with adorable brick characters a boatload of Batman's legacy, it looks absolutely fantastic.

And it's a Switch 2 exclusive, which means it should be sharp, smooth, and expansive. We're sending the bat signal right now.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park (Switch 2)

Launch date
Spring 2026
Platform
Switch 2
Physical?
Yes!

We were expecting more Switch 2 Editions of the Switch 1's very best, and here's another one, announced in the September 2025 Nintendo Direct.

Meetup in Bellabel Park is adding tons of new multiplayer content and a few other things, which we don't know anything about yet! But expect some lovely upgraded visuals and maaaaybe an 120fps mode? That'd be nice, Nintendo. Give it to us!

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (Switch)

Launch date
Spring 2026
Platform
Switch 1
Physical?
No idea, but hopefully

Hit 3DS game Tomodachi Life is getting a sequel in Spring 2026! And we're moving on to island life thanks to Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.

Expect some weird wonderfulness when this lands on the Switch, where you'll spend your days helping others as your own Mii. The island is your oyster, and we're sure friends and family will be sucked into it just like millions were with the first game.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book (Switch 2)

Launch date
Spring 2026
Platform
Switch 2
Physical?
Surely

Wait a minute... isn't this just another name for Yoshi's Story?

Okay, maybe not, but the picturebook style, book motif, and the general vibe of this game is adorable. And believe it or not, this is part of Mario's 40th Anniversary Celebrations. So, y'know, we're bound to see some Mario here.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book looks delightful, like the chill platformer we'll need next spring after the crazy fall of 2025. Let's hope it's a marked improvement from Crafted World...

Bubsy 4D (Switch 2)

Launch date
2026
Platform
Switch 1 & Switch 2
Physical?
TBC

No, you're not imagining things — we're excited for a Bubsy game. Why? Because it's created by Fabraz, the developer behind Demon Turf. And that's a dev that understands movement in platformers.

This is the next step in Bubsy's resurgence — after all, he's getting the Purrfect Collection later in 2025 — so we're excited to see what a new dev team can do with the cat. Well, for one, he's got a hairball form, which sounds gross, but probably isn't meant to be...

The Duskbloods (Switch 2)

Launch date
2026
Platform
Switch 2
Physical?
TBC

FromSoftware is probably one of the hottest gaming tickets out there right now, so when the Souls studio revealed that its next game would be a Switch 2 exclusive, our collective jaw dropped.

The Duskbloods is a multiplayer action RPG where you play as one of 12 Bloodsworn, vampire-like creatures with unique abilities. In either PvP or PvE battles, you'll be able to take on challenging friends or foes in combat. We've got to wait a while for this one, but FromSoft rarely misses.

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition (Switch 2)

Launch date
2026
Platform
Switch 2
Physical?
TBC

Here's a port everyone expected — Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, which includes the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC and some brand new character classes, introduced for the new version.

You've surely heard of this GOTY winner from 2022 — "open-world Souls" is the phrase often banded around. While early demos reported performance issues, more recent footage has looked much better, and a delay into 2026 should help. Hopefully we won't lose our temper as we get our backsides handed to us over and over again.

Enter the Gungeon 2 (Switch 2)

Launch date
2026
Platform
Switch 2
Physical?
TBC

It was only a matter of time before Enter the Gungeon 2 was announced for a Nintendo console, and luckily, it's for the brand new one. More bullet hell dungeon crawling awaits next year, then!

Jumping into a new 3D artstyle with new (and old) characters and more chaos than ever, we're big fans of the first game, so we're ready to go all-in on this follow-up next year.

The Eternal Life of Goldman (Switch)

Launch date
2026
Platform
Switch 1
Physical?
Yes

A "vibrant yet dark" indie platformer from Weappy Studio, we just adore the look and animation of The Eternal Life of Goldman. Seriously, check out the Direct trailer and tell us it's not one of the best-looking games on this list.

Hand-drawn, hand-coloured, painstakingly detailed, we hope plating it as sublime as looking at it. And it promises to be challenging but without all of the nonsense. Perhaps we'll see a Switch 2 version so those visuals really pop.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave (Switch 2)

Launch date
2026
Platform
Switch 2
Physical?
Most likely

Fire Emblem is the next big Nintendo series making the jump to Switch 2, and oh wow does it look good on the new console. At least going by the reveal trailer.

We don't have aton to go on for Fortune's Weave besides that trailer, but the arena seems to be a central part of the game. Plus there are some familiar faces popping up, which has fans thinking this might be a sequel. Or prequel. Who knows! All we know is we can't wait.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction (Switch eShop)

Launch date
2026
Platform
Switch 1
Physical?
TBC

Bitmap working on a He-Man side-scroller? We have the power! Or we will, on Switch, in 2026 at least. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction looks like a long-lost arcade game, with lovely pixel art and crunchy music to go with.

It's a side-scrolling beat 'em up, as you'd expect, and you'll be able to play as He-Man, Teela, and Man-At-Arms (and maybe more?) as you battle through 12 stages. We won't be seeing this until 2026, but that doesn't mean we're not getting our old He-Man toys out of the attic right now...

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Switch 2)

Launch date
2026
Platform
Switch 2
Physical?
TBC

No less than a week after our piece looking at games we want ported to the Switch 2 did Indiana Jones announce his intent to whip his way onto the console. Well, MachineGames did, anyway.

The critically-acclaimed Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will hopefully include the DLC as standard, but it should be an excellent time in handheld, with smooth frames and beautiful visuals to boast on the newer console.

Neverway (Switch eShop)

Launch date
2026
Platform
Switch 1
Physical?
TBC

One of Outersloth's funded projects, Neverway is a gorgeous-looking horror take on the farming and life sim genre. And it's decidedly moody and creepy.

As Fiona, you become the immortal herald of a dead god after you move for a seemingly idyllic farm life. What's more, your world is slowly being consumed by an alternate reality that you have to fight back against. Add in some action RPG and dateable humans and, well, you have a Lovecraftian-style adventure.

We're not done yet! There are plenty more titles slated for 2026 (and beyond) on Nintendo's consoles, so read on...
