I know this isn't the place for this, but why do you guys love Wii Music so much? I've never played it but heard awful things about it. (Kind of need motivation to go out and buy if you know what I'm trying to say, lol.)
The 30 pages of this NintendoLife thread should get you started understanding what the game is all about... check out the discussions and videos there, and see if it seems like your sort of thing.
lol going overboard when buying videogames isn't a good thing. With movies it's fine, because the experience lasts you 1-2 hours usually and you're done with it, and that's that. meanwhile many games can take up to a week to complete, again depending on how much time you put into it a day.
So yup! 2 games at a time, and that's that! I've sort of been recently catching up with the wii as of late. Then again I've only complete Pikmin NPC(Awesome unique experience! One of my favorite nintendo IP's now) and Kirby's Epic Yarn in the past 2-3 months...I guess I've been busy plugging away at my DS in anticaptation for the 3DS, along with the virtual console. Now Epic Yarn Which i found utterly gorgeous, unique and jaw dropping(at times) from a visual standpoint, it offered great controls as well as motion controls(The fire truck was awesome!), and it had a beautiful and memorable fluffy soundtrack for the most part.
But there's one reason why i can't consider this game to be a classic nor would i say it's one of my favorite wii titles, and that's because of the incredibly poor baby challenge, it was too easy even for a kirby game....It was still fun, but i was never too thrilled to play it...I even found myself putting it off and thinking what's the point, as it began to almost feel like a chore at times. There are no real consequences, you can't die, getting beeds to get a gold coin is as easy as pie and the boss battles felt pointless because again you couldn't die. I can't imagine how much better the game would of been if they included a hard mode, where you could actually die and making the beeds much more challenging to get.
But to be fair, I adored KEY in the beginning, but i think the biggest mistake i made was breaking up the flow of the game by playing those tennant mini game stages inbetween stages. It draged out the leangth and hampered the experience. I wish i would of skipped that part of the game all together. My advice for anybody going into KEY. soak up the brilliant unique visuals, the atmosphere and gameplay, and FORGET about those never ending tenant mini games and decorating your pad. Just stick with the main game and aim to get all of the treasure and leave it at that.
Anyways, GoodFeel imo did a MUCH better job with Wario Land Shake it! imo. And I'm really looking forward to playing Sin & Punishment 2, but i need to start my copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2 once I'm finished up the oh so brilliant StarTropics.
And ahh, I have a feeling I'm going to get more of a kick out of the New Kirby Wii hitting this year.
I'm slowly but surely going through the games, there's no games I want right now so at least I'm busy until like Child of Eden comes out.
For me, Kirby's Epic Yarn was an absolute joy, but then again, I did ignore the tenant challenges (only did a couple of them) but I did like decorating my pad since I'm silly and easily amused like that XD. I did like the boss battles because even though you couldn't die, some of them forced you to think how to defeat them otherwise you'd be stuck in this never ending stage
But I guess I loved how relaxed and not really challenging it was since, like I said earlier, I was getting frustrated with Sonic Colors on how too freaking hard certain levels are (oh and I finished the storyline of that, but only 50% of the red rings).
I can't wait for the new Kirby game also! I've only played a classic Kirby game once (and I loved it, but never owned one because they were for systems I never owned).
Oh yeah, and to respond to your question on A Boy and His Blob, it actually did remind me of a more challenging version of Kirby's Epic Yarn. Certain parts are actually unnecessarily frustrating (because of the physics of what you have to do) and transforming your blob sometimes is a little clunky and makes sometimes simple areas (that require quick movement) challenging. I highly recommend it though if you liked the initial gameplay of KEY, plus the extra stages are something different.

to me, wii music only seemed to appeal to musicians/the musically inclined.
Lots of censorship here...

Wii Music is really what inspired me to start playing real music. Like all great Nintendo games, Wii Music is something that just about anyone can pick up and have fun with, but there's some serious depth here for those willing to invest some time and patience. Spending hours on getting my compositions juuust right made me start thinking that if I started putting that much effort into learning to play an actual instrument it would really pay off.
Now I'm getting pretty competent with the piano, and my sister (who was also greatly inspired by Wii Music) is really getting good at the guitar. It's inspired us to create, and drawn us closer together, which is not something many games can claim to do.

@Doma I swear, if it ended up there, I would buy it in a pair. Rhyming aside, I seriously would buy multiple copies of it. My regular disc is scratched up, and I want to show it some support.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. I never even saw a commercial on TV for this one, and that was back when I was glued to the TV. The only commercial I ever saw was one on the Nintendo Channel.
This is the kind of game that deserves to be in the ‘Selects’ range, not f***ing Wii Sports. I still can’t find a reasonably priced copy of it.
I was a bit surprised to hear that and just checked on eBay, as I got a new copy of it for only $35 a couple of months ago. Sucks to be in the US - all the NTSC copies are about $20 more at least!
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
Spectrobes Origins, solid gameplay and around 90 spectrobes. The fossil excavating mode is pretty fun and it is pretty lengnthy if you plan on completing it. I'm sure many people turned it down since it was a Disney game. And Endless Ocean: Blue World. One of my favorite games and it was only $10 considering it came with a WiiSpeak. The amount of content in it is incredible (30+ hours easily) and it inspired me to study itchyology.

I pretty much agree with all of this. It's the reason why I'm going to sell the game after I beat it.
Although, the low difficulty of collecting beads isn't what bothers me about them. What bothers me is that outside of the boss stages there's no decent reason to collect beads or get a gold medal, which then makes the levels even less challenging and less exciting, because I don't care if I don't get a gold medal and so don't have much of an incentive to avoid taking damage.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
