I prefer blackmail. It's classier.

Uh oh. Difference of opinions. Looks like we're gonna need to do a show of hands here.

All for Blackmail, say Aye.

All for Death Threats, say Bye.

Who cares about classier? I'd go with death threats!!

the blaze press release outright references the wii remote several times. it's in the title- "The World’s First Motion Sensing 3D Freedom Controller for Wii Style Action on your PS3"

furthermore- "The BLAZE PS3 Motion Freedom 3D Controller thrusts the PS3 gamer into the very heart of the action by employing the latest motion sensing technology which before now has only been the reserve of Nintendo Wii gamers"

i think the idea is to offer a remote that is openly designed as a copy of the wii remote for the apparently few PS3 gamers who have envied wii owners. offering a product that is, by your own admission, a copy of someone else's may not do them any favors.

This will be fun. XD
I bet Micro$soft will be next to try it. Only difference is that that remote will be huge. >_>

Why would they need it? They have Natal. My guess is it won't be huge, but competition is always welcome. It'd certainly make Nintendo try harder.

Well, it is as bad designed and anti-ergonomic as the Wii mote is, so probably no PS3 users will care about it. A Wiimote with a way better distribution of buttons is what Nintendo should release.

FFS, the wii-mote is a fantastic piece of design, what are you on about. People whinge about the button placement, but if you are gamer you deal with it, and learn to live with it. I love the wii-mote and whilst it could have done with 2 more buttons I have no problem with the layout whatsoever. And how can you call it anti-ergonomic (whatever that is), it fits snugly in one hand, i find it very comfy. Grrrr.

Because you need to contortion your fingers in the best case to reach to configured buttons. Good example is Metroid series. Button distribution is bad, button sizes are bad, and number of buttons is too low. While yes, you may find it very "comfy" to play WiiSports.

Look at the buttons on this thing and then tell me that the Wii mote has bad button distribution.

The peripheral-making side of gaming is epic fail. Now none can deny.

Hmmmmm....."bye" rhymes with "die". What a coincidence!

Anyway, this peripheral looks terrible and very uncomfortable.

If it is too similar, Nintendo is allowed to sue. I don't know how similar it has to be, but I smell a lawsuit.

What does lawsuit smell like?

i think the only problem is with + and -. the buttons are tiny and located in a spot that makes no sense, no matter how you're holding the remote. the only explanation i can think of is that they didn't want the buttons close together to prevent accidentally pushing one when you're swinging it around.

wouldn't it be funny if the blaze controller worked for both wii and PS3?
