I regret to download the following games: -Bubble Bobble: It's not bad at all, but it's strange and too expansive -Gunstar Heroes: I like Metal Slug, but this sidescroller isn't very good, because the enemies are regenerating -Dungeon Explorer: ARGH!!! Don't buy it or play it by a friend or watch gameplay videos before buying.
Samurai Shodown II ..... HARD as hell, and i don't suck in fighting games, i am veteran SFII player.
For a while I too was disappointed with Shodown II. It´s very hard indeed, and I guess you can´t play it like SF II. Yesterday I tried several times to beat Jubei, and I actually think I´m beginningt to learn! You have to be very defensive and try to attack when your opponent is recovering from their own attack animation.
It´s still dead hard, but I don´t regret it anymore.
My regrets are probably going to get me flames, but I'm cool, so flame away:
Super Mario Bros. 3 -- I know "greatest game of all time," etc. and I really gave it chance, but I got to the desert world and all the stuff I remember hating about the old Mario games just came flooding back: dying over and over at the same point due to "leap of faith" jumps? Check. Having to repeat several stages after dying in the boss fight? Check. Having to run a gauntlet just to get to the boss fight? Check. Having to repeat boss fight over and over again? Check. Delete game and purge from system permanently? Check.
Super Mario 64 -- At first this was pretty nice, then I got up to the "last stage" -- actually I imagine it's a false ending since I was still in the castle with the initial set of doors. The 3D magically works against me because I have to walk on some kind of floating walkway to get to Bowser and I'm not allowed to move the camera so it acts like an old-school Mairo game. Uh oh, see above. Best of all at a place I have to make a jump over a gap where failure means more falls to my doom there's some nice foreground in the way. Gee if only I could control the freaking camera this wouldn't be a problem! Cue many falls of death and permanently scrubbing the memory of the Wii where this resided.
Castlevania IV -- Another beloved classic many people enjoy to bits. I was doing okay with it until I reached Stage 8 and then Konami decided to pull some incredibly cheap BS by presenting me with a moving platform that is too high to jump upon and has a gap-of-death below it that I cannot seem to jump without hitting the spikes-of-death (tm) at the bottom of it that kill me instantly. Of course to get to this point I need to go through several screens of bleeding eyes and acid pool platforming. After a dozen trial-and-error attempts I said goodbye to many hours of my life and this game.
I regret buying Super Mario World but only because I don't have a classic controller yet. I didn't realize how difficult it would be using the gamecube controller.
oh that made me so mad. i got donkey kong country and mario world at the same time! but on the other hand, the classic controller is ridiculously awesome, so its all good now.

Mario Bros. Thinking it was Super Mario Bros. Any Neo Geo game, dont get me wrong, they're great games. I just wish I was more patient and waited for the SNK Classics for the Wii. Light Crusader and MUSHA, but to be fair, I probably just need to spend more time with those.

A matter of personal taste. It´s definitly not an actionpacked game, but I like the unserious atmosphere a lot. This first game has a couple of nice minigames, but the sequels are even better. If you and a friend want to experience a rather unique game, it can be for you.
