For me its got to be summer games - had some spare Wii points one time and wanted something akin to Track and Field, i have played it once for 5mins and never again, this was when i realised i should read reviews and not impulse buy. At least this led me to wiiware world and i haven't regreted a game since
Pac man - I downloaded this because my aunt was visiting with my 5 year old cousin. I haven't touched it since. Mario Bros - I wanted to play the classic but i should have just got Super Mario Bros 3. I would've been able to play it anyway Samurai Showdown - I wanted a good VC fighter but holy shit man this game is HARD maybe I should have waited for Samurai Showdown II Star fox 64 - Meh Pokemon Snap - no coment
I ALMOST regret buying Final Fight. I nearly caved in and bought it two days before the VC arcade was announced. How I would have cried if I downloaded the awful SNES version when the arcade one could now come along.
Sonic is just....I dunno, the platforming is awfully generic, the acceleration start/stop isn't a scheme that's ever worked for any game (at least to the extremes Sonic used)....I need a game with more required of it than holding Right and hoping the screen-scroll is fast enough to allow me to react to the stage. If anything, I wish I'd gotten the Master System version, as it's cheaper, I've never played it, and it has a World map (who knows, could be interesting?)
Mario Kart 64....Man, didn't realize how superior the DS Mario Kart was to this one until I finally played it...drifting feels choppy and unnatural, speed/reaction just feels off somehow (I miss almost every turn every track, regardless of speed...) and overall, with the Wii/DS versions out, there's 0 reason to come back to this version.
If this thread was about WiiWare games I'd probably complain about Evasive Space, but...

Wow, a lot of people are underwhelmed with Mario Kart 64 which is shocking to me. I think it's hands down the best in the series, the Gamecube and Wii iterations are boring to me, they seem flat, and WAY easier to control without so much nitpicking on the player's part (which maybe is a plus to some people?) although I did enjoy the drift/accelerate mechanic that was added. But, hey, I can understand being used to newer versions, for example I can't stand the SNES original.
Mario Kart 64 was very disappointing for me, especially without the time trial memory. I also didn't like 1080 Snowboarding half as much as everyone else (even though I loved Snowboard Riot on WiiWare), and I found Punch Out!! to be wayyyy to hard.
Seriously? Mario Kart 64? I loved it. Played it to death with the lads I live with, so much fun. I still think it beats the Wii version and Double Dash (if just for that feeling of nostalgia).
Here goes: All pal 50hz games that won't display on my new TV; Harvest Moon; Pac Man (nes); Cybernator; 1080; Mystical Ninja... I'm sure there's more... On the whole I've been happy though. TG16 games are great! Oh and what's with all the Treasure hate? Ye bunch of Philistines!

My wife loves this version the best as well. I'm still having way too much fun with the Wii version. Though I am dissapointed in some of the Wii maps. I think SNES Ghost Valley is just plain boring/lame and would have been better if they went with Luigis Mansion from the DS. I also don't care for the SNES Mario (Circuit/Raceway?). Once again, very boring with very little action.

I'm another that was let down by The Legend of the Mystical Ninja, but the biggest dissapointment was Super Mario R(eally)P(oor)G(ame) since it was bad pretty much all around.
I had such fond memories of those games, but when i tried them on virtual console i was thinking to myself how in the hell I could play those to death back in the day..
There he goes, Firkraag. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. - My VGscore
Super Punch Out! .... I love the game when i was a kid, hard and fun...but I download it yesterday and finished in 40 min, i was a little disappointed. NOT a bad game, but i find it easy now. Samurai Shodown II ..... HARD as hell, and i don't suck in fighting games, i am veteran SFII player. Super Mario Bos .... downloaded in pure nostalgia mood. But i calm my Mario 2d platforming needs with SMB3

How far did you get in Ice Climber, I bought it for the GBA and didn't like it for the longest time, but then I forced myself to play it, and once I got used to the weird jumping it was actually quite enjoyable.
