Topic: Top 25 Wii Games

WoG is overrated on their list. Everything except the Top 10 is good, though.

Because even reviewers who hate the Wii love this game. Have you seen its metacritic rating btw? Phenomenal when you take into account the number of reviewers (many anti-wii as I said) included in the caluclation.

I get why people like it, and it's certainly a good game, but I don't think it's top 5 material. I think it's a little over-rated in general, tbh.

I called it! My only mistake was mixing up the order of Zelda and Smash Bros.

WarioLand Shake It seems overrated if it made the top 25. Certainly there are better games, considering the mixed reviews I've heard about it.

Galaxy shouldn't have made #1, should've been #5 at best.

How did a sports game make the list, and for that matter a golf game? Come 2011 you won't be able to give Tiger Woods 10 away.

I find this list very good especially when coming from IGN. Thugh i will say that I didn't see The Conduit which got an 8.6 from them and wondering where the hell it went?

List is actually pretty good. Only thing is that Fire Emblem didn't make the list... but Rabbids go home did.... oh well. Couldn't agree more with the #1.

Hmm. You did indeed 'call it', but would it be unfair of me to mention that there are bacteria on Neptune who could have called that the top few places would be Mario, Zelda and Metroid games?

And yes, World of Goo is overrated.

no, it really should be #1, multiple independent reviewers have already come to the conclusion that its great and since it is now "the best game on Wii" some people insist they like it less than everyone else does. It happens a lot with great games or... well great anything

People love to hate whatever everyone else likes. Its painfully common in teenagers strangely. Its a tall-poppy sort of thing and you see it everywhere. In fact, its so common that there is probably a 10 page wiki article about your current line of thought

same thing here. IGN went nuts over Tiger Woods 10 and for good reason. It has Motion Plus support and did a very good job at it. Its a great game. Just because its a sport game and you personally dislike sport games doesn't make it any less great. There are other people in this word and some of them like sports games. If I was after a sports games, or even a game and I didn't mind sports games, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 would be a good pick. I have it, its good AND its a golf game.

Good post Skywake. Whilst there is no accounting for taste, you do have to wonder how some people come to the conclusions they come to. Super Mario Galaxy is clearly the best game on the Wii. It looks great, it's fun to play, sounds amazing (best score on the Wii by far), and really there isn't anything to dislike about the game.

Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Twilight Princess, New Super Mario Bros Wii, and Smash Bros are the best games on Wii, in whatever order you choose to put them in. No argument really.

Saying Galaxy should be #5 at best is an ignorant statement. Anyone who has spent a lot of time with the Wii, and it's library of games would know this straight away - there are not 4 games on the Wii better than Mario Galaxy. There are not 4 7th generation video games on any system better than Mario Galaxy.

Metroid Prime Trilogy should be number one. Or at least Corruption.

DISAGREE! SMG is nearly perfect in my opinion. The only bad thing about it is the swimming (but that usually sucks in most 3D Mario games)

Galaxy embodies the Wii. For that reason alone it should be number 1.

So PEASE tell me this article will stop all the "IGN hates Nintendo" on this site. Obvisouly they don't as this list is of course an opinion but in fact pretty acurate to how I would have listed it.

NIghts is my favorite game on the system....... loved that game.
