considering IGN's more recent reviews.... Guitar Hero 5 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will be on there I am guessing that New SMB Wii will be in the top three or so:

they might put New SMB Wii second... but that would be VERY bold of them it would be hard to put the Prime Trilogy anywhere other than second (even though I personally would put it third)

No, it isn't. I never said that RE4 is a bad game, but I just think that it is sad that ports make it onto a "best game" list. I'm sure there are more than 25 original games that don't suck on the Wii.

My Top 5: 1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Really, what reason do you need?) 2. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Fantastic Single and Co-op gameplay) 3. Super Mario Galaxy (Though not as good as Sunshine still very fun) 4. Mario Kart Wii (Best online game now) 5. Super Paper Mario (The 3-D flipping is genius)

The only problem I have with Mario Kart Wii is that they messed up the Battle Mode. The new stages are terrible and too gimmiky compared to the battle stages in Double Dash (and lousy picks were made for the retro stages), and they force you into the dumb 12 player team point matches. They should've given us the options of selecting the amount of players, whether or not to play on teams, and being able to play last man standing instead of scoring points. I much prefer playing Battle Mode in Double Dash.
So has anyone else had problems with the camera in Super Mario Galaxy?

Twilight Princess was released to the GC and Wii simultaneously.
Nope, it was released on the Wii over a month before the GC version (although technically it was a GC game originally). I remember this quite clearly, as I couldn't afford a Wii, and had to wait a freakin' month to play TP while all my Wii-owning friends were gushing about it.

New SMB Wii: It's hard to deny that the classic Mario design is timeless, and this update proves that the gameplay can still hold up to today's standards. While I may rag on the game for playing it safe in a presentation that barely goes above and beyond the call of duty, I truly believe that the core game itself is top notch and an absolute blast from start to finish.
apparently the fact that it doesn't "push the Wii graphically" even though the "core game is top notch" is enough to put it below games with slightly less than top notch gameplay that "push the Wii graphically". I wouldn't have put Brawl above New SMB Wii and especially not for those reasons. Oh well, I'm the nutjob who thinks that graphics are only important because they can enhance the core game experience. If the core game experience is "top notch" and the lack of tech doesn't get in the way of that then there really isn't a criticism to be made.
but hey, I guess #6 is pretty good for a game certain groups of people love to hate.

Miyamoto has said a few times recently that we can expect the next Wii Zelda to push the Wii graphically since TP was a gamecube game and running on GC technology. But I can understand the confusion.

The Wii version of TP did do a little bit more than the GC version. I remember being stuck on that flying boss (skytown?) and resorting to youtube to work out how to pass it (oh the shame) and I came across a GC walkthrough vid for it. The GC version had significantly less cloud effects and there was something in the background that wasn't in there at all. It was pretty obvious because I had just spent hours playing the Wii version but it was fairly small.
It was originally developed as a Gamecube game and the Wii version was developed quickly alongside it during the last year but it wasn't a straight port. The Wii version is clearly improved.... excluding environment textures which still looked like they were compressed heavily to fit on a GC disk.
