The graphics are the best I've seen on the Wii yet, so of course I was really surprised.
Not to hype everybody up, but the reviewer in Play magazine said that the graphics were so good that he could swear the game was on a different console -- if he hadn't played the entire game with the Wii remote. And that the Wii has untapped potential.
Sorry--consider me hyped. Thanks for pointing that review out though, seriously.
I have to say I was originally not interested in this, but if the controls are good, well, using the remote to throw things around could be pretty fun. I'm definitely curious...

I was a little afraid to say this, because it could seem that I'm a FF-fanboy (in fact I never liked the FF-series), or worse, to hype Wii graphics so no one would ever trust me again until they see the game running on a Wii, but honestly, Crystal Bearers looked like a 360 game.
They should have put FMVs in it(If they didn't[but judging by the trailers, it seems they didn't]). I wonder if the wii could even handle a game like FFX?

What? Of course it could. Just look at Arc Rise Fantasia.

Maybe a very, very low end 360 game........ From what I've seen, it looks nothing like a 360 game.
The Game.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.
then you have only seen internet videos and trailers.
Holy crap, I got Killer 7 last week, so I finally know what your avatar is! It's Harman Smith, right?
Back on topic: FFCC:CB looks awesome and is going to be the best day-after-my-birthday, birthday present EVER.

When I learned that it would be an adventure/action game I was sold for a day 1...Well maybe day 2, I have boxing day.
I think it looks amazing, has great music, and the story seems to be really good. Course I hear the controls aren't perfect, but what game has perfect controls? The closest is Mario games but even they aren't perfect.
I just really hope Square promotes this enough, like point of purchase crap EVERYONE in stores during boxing day. Stands with displays and all that crap. I really want this game to do well.
Trust me Hardy, even on Wii the names FINAL FANTASY and Square Enix are synonymous with quality. Check out the sells of Kingdom Hearts 358/Days for proof. Worse case scenario this game will only sell half a million.

I think I'll pass on this or pick it up when it drops below $20. The main series has dipped in quality over the years and the spin-offs usually are just mediocre games slapped with the FF brand just to make money (at least during the GCN/PS2 era that is).
Hmm, according to Metacritic, the January issue of Game Informer Magazine gives Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers a score of 5.5 out of 10. That news is a little discouraging but I'm still interested in getting this game. I will probably wait and see what other reviewers think about it before I buy it though.
Interesting........... I also need more reviews before getting it now.

If their review says "waggle-fest" anywhere, its not a valid review.
