Contemplating this or Portal 2....

There are three reviews scores. All are worse then the scores they gave for the original. Predicting lower score then the original game.

The scores are lower in general, but the general consensus seems to be that it's better than the first. Critics are silly.

I'm not surprised.

Can we just make a list of games you could be playing instead of Conduit 2? It would make the topic better.

Non-binary, demiguy, making LPs, still alive

Nope. That'd be going off topic.

Hopefully I can stop by and pick up my preorder tomorrow. Ashley from Gamestop told me so.

i did the first three levels and some online play today. they've kept their promise to improve the art and level design, everything looks and plays much better. the biggest surprise is how good the boss fights are, they're tough and fun. the acting and story are completely awful, very hard to stomach. the weapons for the most part all seem to be weaker and slower, which is weird. the controls are also not as good as you'd expect, aside from the motion + support it actually gives you fewer options than the original did.

the online seems to at least be fun so far, it connects quickly and hasn't given me any bugs yet.

Which controls features do we lost from the orginal?

Hehehehe.

you can't adjust the maximum horizontal and vertical view and i think a few other options have been simplified. you definitely can't adjust as much as goldeneye and red steel 2 let you, there's no separate turn speed for the horizontal and vertical axes, no maximum turn zones, no adjustments for the downsight aiming.

Read IGN's review of the game, not their score. They actually gave an extremely positive review but only gave it a 7.5 both in gameplay and for an overall score mainly because the gameplay is generic and repetative like most FPSes.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

I can understand the lower scores, I mean I beat the game saw the ending and I thought it was some midway twist. I still have collecting to do but I personally like the first more even without the improvements.

invasion mode is fun! it's not quite as deep as nazi zombies (or whatever that type of mode is called in every other shooter these days), but it's got the same overall idea and it's just about as addicting. fair warning, friendly fire is on... i think i punched my nephew to death 3 times in one match.

But they said the ending would be epic...

It is and isn't, the final boss fight was easy after that was what people thought was epic, and it kind of was.

I really, really, REALLY am interesting in this game, but after the first one's online issues, and the fact Sega has basically NOT promoted this game...and the multiple delays it saw; I'm waiting at least a week(probably longer), so as to hear more reports, and hopefully know if there are any issues that get discoverd with the online play.

Hearing about the story/acting is a bit of a downer, especially since I liked the first one, even without the cut-scenes. I like how they had it setup, sort of a mystery, with the radios around the levels talking about what was going on.
Does this one have any random radio messages scattered around levels?

Yeah, there are radios and stuff littered around, and sometimes you can overhear enemies talking about stuff.

I'm stuck in the Washington D.C. level. I went through an emergency exit door into a partial subway tunnel and took out the Mite nests, but now I can't figure out how to get anywhere else, and I don't have an objective marker. What do I do?

CoffeeWithGames, don't forget that they're releasing patches this time. They've already sent out two of them.
