does it really have online split screen? i hadn't heard that before. hope the wii's up to it, since it gets loopy even with solo 8 player matches.

Ive heard the headset for Conduit 2 and Black Ops, you can use it for the PS3 or use the PS3 headset for the Wii, is this true?

As far as I'm aware that is not true. Both Black Ops and Conduit 2 support the Wii Headbanger Headset, but I highly doubt that you would be able to use a PS3 headset.

Er, the PS3 headset is bluetooth, which Wii does not have, so, no I wouldn't say that's true.

i stand by every complaint i've made about the first game and then some, but after this year's lineup the wii doesn't have much to look forward to aside from zelda and i expect that at some point i'll pick conduit 2 up out of sheer boredom. there's a nagging voice telling me that they don't deserve another $50 after the first game, but if they manage to at least make something passable this time around, that'd be enough for me to have some fun with it. (goldeneye is almost certainly going to remain the wii's best fps, but it can't last forever) i'll at least learn my lesson and rent first this time.

Insanity. I got Goldeneye and The Conduit about the same time (the weeks leading up to this past Christmas) And I must say the Conduit is far more enjoyable in terms or gameplay and overall looks better. Goldeneye is just kind of dull and drab in terms of gameplay and visuals.

I'm loving the first Conduit so much, I kick myself for not picking it up sooner. I'm still playing through it and having a blast. I'm a huge FPS fan and own all 3 consoles, played a lot of great shooters this gen...The Orange Box, every COD since COD4, Killzone 2, and the Conduit despite the hardware's limitation is one of the best FPS games it has to offer.

The Wii does have bluetooth, but it's only used to connect to the wiimotes, not headsets

wise decision to delay it with all the higher profile shooters coming out. i guess they're not as screwed as i thought

I think my brain just melted out of my ear from the above the comment. So wait. it's a wise decision to be going up against such shooters as Killzone 3, Bulletstorm, and Homefront? No doubt this will get lost amongst the sea of heavy hitting FPS this February and March...not to mention the wii already has the weakest install base of FPS.

This game will be better than GoldenEye 007. On Wii that is.

As much as I love Bond, I don't think thats very hard. The first Conduit is better than Goldeneye wii.

skullman, we have very different opinions of what makes a game good. so different that there's no point in arguing with you. i'll say that i'm not exactly alone in thinking the conduit was a disappointment, high voltage themselves have been openly admitting it for the past year and a half. that's their whole drive for conduit 2- "this time we'll get it right". it's not like i'm saying it was completely terrible, it just wasn't so good.

when i said they were wise not to release in november (do you really think it would have sold well against black ops and goldeneye at once?) the new release date hadn't been scheduled yet, so it's not like i could have known what they'd eventually be going up against and that's beside the point since none of the games you mentioned are even coming out for the wii. maybe rethink that argument?

here's some new impressions- http://www.gamesradar.com/wii/conduit-2/preview/4-ways-condui...

the guy shares a lot of the complaints i had about the first game but he seemed to really like what he saw in the sequel. it'll be interesting to see how the controls change now that you don't lock on and use the gun sights instead. i hope with all these movements toward call of duty that they keep the health high online like the first game, since i'm tired of getting insta-killed from the back in goldeneye.

You and I are at opposite ends of the spectrum in gaming in general. I like the Conduit and hate the DKCR, and I love the old DKC games. You hate the Conduit and love the new DKCR and think it's better. Also on a side note, I also hate all things anime sorry.

hey, no problem.

but i don't hate the conduit. the single player game, yes, but the online was fun. that's why i'm interested in the second one.

looks like they're pushing further with the perfect dark rip offs, which isn't very inventive but i can't deny that having a farsight or rcp120 again would be fun. the ACOG scope even uses perfect dark's crosshairs:

Darn it! The game has now been pushed back to March 22.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
