Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
Well after feeling that Goldeneye is a bit too short and the online lacking speech makes it a lot less compelling, this is the FPS I'm looking forward too (well, actually The Grinder is more appealing, but that's too far off to pine for). Hopefully HVS will deliver something as fun as the original Conduit, which I still enjoy.

Wanna play me online sometime? My friend code is in the North American Conduit Online Matches thread. I tend to stay up pretty late, when it's morning where you are; or we could arrange it in the afternoon for me while it's evening for you.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
I appreciate the offer, but without Wii Speak (flogged it last month) it wouldn't be that interesting for me. I'll definitely be there for Conduit 2 though!
sigh. why do i get the feeling i'm going to wind up buying this game?
the CG intro looks way better than i was expecting. the new voice acting and story really aren't looking too appealing, but hey, at least they're trying pretty hard. you can watch it for yourself: http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/theconduit2/video/6284535/...

Wow, quite a reversal from what you posted earlier wouldn't you say, especially in light of the release of a CG intro. As a heads up, Sega are known for their CG intros/cutscenes, so this isn't very surprising and IMHO nowhere near representative of the game's quality. I always got the impression, based on your posts regarding Other M, that HVS would be one of the last developers in which you would look forward to. HVS seems to take a kitchen sink approach to their games, they seem to be all about features and nothing else. This "features first, game second" approach is such a strong contrast to the way the developers of Metroid: Other M (especially considering how experimental the gameplay was), Goldeneye 007, the Call of Duty Wii series (especially considering the circumstances surrounding WAW) approached their games and further illustrates the difference between developers that actually focus on the things that at the end of the day matter and those that are all about having as many bullet points as possible to try to portray a certain appearance. To sum up, I just found your response somewhat odd.
i stand by every complaint i've made about the first game and then some, but after this year's lineup the wii doesn't have much to look forward to aside from zelda and i expect that at some point i'll pick conduit 2 up out of sheer boredom. there's a nagging voice telling me that they don't deserve another $50 after the first game, but if they manage to at least make something passable this time around, that'd be enough for me to have some fun with it. (goldeneye is almost certainly going to remain the wii's best fps, but it can't last forever) i'll at least learn my lesson and rent first this time.
@ romulux Yeah I see where you are coming from, after reading your posts in defense of Other M's gameplay (and it's other aspects) and giving the developers credit were credit was due, and when it comes to the approach that HVS took by making gameplay take a backseat, among other things too (fortunately this view is most definitely not shared by Eurocom and Treyarch), they didn't seem to be developer in which its games you would have much interest for. I'm also very much looking forward to Skyward Sword and what its new direction will bring to the series (also for a bit of trivia, 2011 marks The Legend of Zelda's 25th anniversary and what a fitting way it would be to commemorate it's anniversary with the release of SS). Nice Sesshomaru pic by the way.
well hey, a FPS doesn't really require as much thought to be fun as a first party nintendo game. it's a genre that generally gives you one thing, the satisfaction of shooting things, and not much else. so in the sense of having a game that you know going in is just going to be for scratching your itch to shoot people every now and then, i think conduit 2 will turn out alright. when i want a really interesting game with a striking world to see i'll go somewhere else. both types of games have their time and place, is i guess what i'm saying.

yea the first game was sort of a golden game, the first one that i was always online on 7pm to game with you and others just for fun... aaahhhh good timis, good times
Because these thread was in page... I don´t know, I posted a new one, but it of course, got blocked and send me the link of these one, so I need to do all the hard work AGAIN and copy and paste the youtube link of the new Conduit 2 trailer:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVXvJoAi33E&feature=player...

I hope people aren't getting their hopes up for The Grinder as I seriously doubt it will see release on Wii. I'd love for that to happen but it's an M-rated game and HVS has already mentioned that to release it on Wii they'd have to find another publisher. I honestly have no clue what publisher would ever make another M-rated title on Wii so I'm guessing TG is DOA.
On topic, though I'm not too big on the original TC, HVS has somehow managed to get me excited for it's sequel. Here's to cautious optimism.

Is Wii the only system you own? Just curious.
