To each it's own. I had a really hard getting all stars last time. Maybe my skills has become better because galaxy2 is like a cakewalk. And btw if u want 99 lives try bouncing seven time on the back of one of the huge tortoises in supermassive galaxy easy peacy...
241 stars, 9 days after the release. The most terrible part lies ahead: collecting 9999 star bits and beat the comet. I must get the final star, no matter how many times I'm going to die.
im on 241 stars and the last level is cruel but great. I get further when i play as luigi. I don't understand everyones angst about 9999 starbits as i got that amount at star 125! It's easy. It would be cool, after you finish the game, Waluigi and Wario became playable

Did you replay levels a lot? I had trouble with the last Luma because I hadn't enough star bits.... Even if I collected every star bit that I could possibly have seen, I wouldn't have ended up with 9999.
No, i never replayed levels. I just prefered using spin attack on enemies to get starbits, rather than jump on them.

No, i never replayed levels. I just prefered using spin attack on enemies to get starbits, rather than jump on them.
That could explain it very well. Since I noticed jumping on enemies in Galaxy 1 was a 1-hit kill and spin attack wasn't, so I always jumped in Galaxy 1 and therefore also in Galaxy 2.
May contain Spoilers "The Perect Run" seems more than impossible. My best was nearly to the area with the pull stars, but I missed the jump. I am surprised how easy grandmaster was for the "Ultimate Test".

SPOILERS: You mean the first couple of blocks? You can long jump to the first pull star from the first ledge, if that helps.
@invmat Yeah, I just took my time during each level collecting all of the star bits and used the spin attack to kill enemies unless I needed life, and I had 9,999 star bits in the Toad Bank and in my regular collection by the last star of the game. Now I can't withdraw or deposit from the Toad Bank, lol.

I can't believe how close I was to winning... I killed all three boomberang bros, and as the launch star appeared a hammer hit me in the back of the head, and... I... died. It really ticked me off.

I really wish I took my time to do that. The game is too good though. How can you take your time?

Funky 100%'d it this morning, and so did I a few hours later. I've played the best game of all time for almost 60 whopping hours, and have died over 1600 times I think. I feel awesome though for some reason.
