This thread looks about as good as any to ask a question about Sonic.
Are there any Sonic games all ready out for the Wii worth getting I saw two or three cheap at Walmart but haven't played a Sonic game in years and had no idea if to get or which want to get?

On the Wii, Sonic Unleashed or Sonic and the Secret Rings may be your best bets. Of course, the Wii also has the VC games. The DS's Sonic Rush games are far superior to Wii Sonic games though.
Can't wait for this game, it's going to blow Unleashed out of the water. I'm going to miss Chip though...

It's been 6 years since the last Sonic game I've purchased. This looks really good, and I hope it doesn't let me down like the rest of Sonic's later installments.

I think it's actually possible to get all Sonic games, with the exception of Sonic 2006, on the Wii isn't it? I'm trying to think of some that arn't but best I can come up with is obscure titles like SegaSonic Arcade.
Well, me being a Sonic fan and actually enjoying Sonic Classic Collection and Sonic Rush Adventure at the moment...I am pretty excited for Colors. It looks like this could be a decent year for the hedgehog, if Sonic 4 and Colors live up to the "old-school" feel they seem to promise. I am just stuck on getting the Wii or DS version...since I have 2 Sonic games for DS, I will probably check out the Wii version, it looks fantastic!

cool, my first sonic game that I played was sonic heroes, which I borrowed from a friend, and that game was fun from what I remember, and had an awesome theme song btw And then the only sonic games I got after that were Sonic Rush and Adventure, so I (thankfully) didn't get to play all the 3D sonic games that people don't seem to like. but this game looks good, I will probably get it oh yeah, nice music btw

Look for the GameCube games "Sonic Adventure: DX," "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle," "Sonic Mega Collection," and "Sonic Gems Collection." Those are the best choices for what you can play on your Wii. Out of Unleashed or Secret Rings, Unleashed is quite a bit better.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?

Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Other than GBA and DS handheld games and some really obscure arcade or stand-alone games, it's pretty much just Sonic '06 (PS3/X360, arguably the worst Sonic game ever made), Knuckles Chaotix (32X), and Sonic Shuffle (Dreamcast, a Sonic themed Mario Party clone) that are unplayable on a Wii.

I've been playing a bit of Unleashed today, and I gotta say if they make a few improvements then Colors is going to be fantastic. I absolutely love the way Sonic controls in it, especially during the 3D sections. Unfortunately from what I've seen of the E3 footage the game spends a bit too much time in 2D, which normally I'd be fine with, but Sonic 4 is coming out around the same time, and frankly it looks like it will be performing its 2D tasks far better than this. Unleashed is definitely the most fun when you're controlling Sonic in 3D. The drift move is gold. <3
If they implement some sort of time attack sharing or online multiplayer racing (sorta like TrackMania's) then that'd be ridiculously cool. Unleashed often feels like a racer hybrid, and I can see it being a blast trying to best each others' times.
Its been confirmed that there will be online leaderboards for both Wii and DS versions. I was hoping for some real online races or any other kind of multiplayer, but leaderboards are fine.
It's a post-1994 Sonic game. Nobody is sure about it until we see some reviews.
