Topic: Sonic Colors

Both versions look great, but I will wait for some reviews on both versions when they are released. Last time I hyped myself on a Sonic game, I was dissapointed in the end, and that was Sonic Unleashed.

So Corbie says E.T. is better than Galaxy 2 would you get it? Go ahead and get E.T. then.

If Corbie told me E.T. was better than SMG2 and he was serious I'd go try and find a copy. according to the AVGN they are buried in the desert though

Well I have never been a sonic fan, idk why, and well, these seems better as all the sonic games before but I think these is not for me.

On to act 2, and it's still basically a hold-right-a-thon. I can see why Corbie would say Sonic 4 is the better game so far. But it is very pretty, and some times games like this are fun just to enjoy the eye candy. I could see this turning out all right, which for a Sonic game is unexpected, haha.

I'm actually really excited for Colors. All the previews I've heard have been overwhelmingly positive (except for Corbie's recent comments about it. He didn't seem to thrilled with the Wii version) and I've always been thrilled for the potential of the series in 3D, but aside from Secret Rings (which I found to be terribly under-rated) it hasn't really worked out. Hopefully this'll do the trick.

Looks a lot like Sonic Adventure (good thing). The wisps, especially yellow, look good for level exploration/branching paths, which, sadly, it looks like there's not that much of (there wasn't all that much in SA either, but whatevs).

3D Sonics have taken out a bit of the branching paths/exploration that was prevalent in the 2D games (esp. Sonic 2 and after), but the more recent ones have turned into beating your times and completing other objectives to get emblems and unlock stuff, which isn't that terrible a gameplay design either. It's just more arcade-like in nature. Hopefully the levels do get a bit bigger/tougher than this first one.

Still, (very) cautiously optimistic is the name of the game with Sonic these days. Preordering is always a bad idea.

I'm still getting over the shock that ScrewAttack LIKES a 3D Sonic game. It's weird because Screwattack just seems to hate Sonic so much, I mean they called Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) the worst game of the decade, don't get me wrong the game sucks, but there are FAR worse games that have come out this decade.
But the game blows Sonic Unleashed Wii out of the water, better graphics, better controls, no werehog (I thought it was okay, but most people hate it.) everything.

Sort of. But then on the other hand, if any of the scenes involve Big playing hide-the-dynamite, I will be a very happy customer.
