What in the world of bananas.

The Incredibles and Monster's Inc over Finding Nemo?

Anything over Finding Nemo? Have you SEEN Finding Nemo? lol

Actually, I considered Finding Nemo to be one of Pixar's weaker movies. Crazy, I know. It's still good, of course (There's no such thing as a bad Pixar movie, after all.), but I just didn't think it compared to the likes of Toy Story, Ratatoulle, or the Incredibles.

Good to see you're still alive, by the way.

Yeah, Finding Nemo is a good movie, but I don't think it's the masterpiece some people make it out to be. The only old Disney films that I would consider "classics" are The Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast. The rest are good, not great (although I'll always feel that The Emperors New Groove deserves more respect).

Just realized that we're in the NSMBWii vs SMB 3 thread and not the animation thread....whoops.

It's hard to compare SMB3 and SMBwii, there both equally fantastic games. But nothing beats a classic, SMB3!!

Hmm...Equally fantastic, but SMB3 is better, eh?
And on a related note, it would be a sad, sad time for video games if nothing surpassed a previous, "classic" entry in a series.

Well, SMB3 is the one that started some great things, but NSMBwii improves on it. It's hard to capture the charm of a classic game, and it's innovation for it's time in a sequel.

In relating new things verses classics, Wall E beats Toy Story.

Nintendo Power had a 5-page review on it and only gave it a 9!

Pics or it didn't happen.

ONLY gave it a 9? since when was getting a 9 bad? Last I checked, 10's were reserved for "best game ever" type of $h!t. What the heck makes it deserving of a 10 outta 10? Because it's a mildly improved 2D Mario game? Believe me, I'd rather they reserve their 10's for a game that truly deserves it, rather than waste it on something like that.

Yeah, but why did they give it five pages?

What do you mean "waste it"? It's not like they have a limited number of 10's to give away. And I for one think NSMBWii deserves a 10. People have different opinions, of course, but I personally consider to be the best 2-D Mario game ever.

Well, while I don't care about scores personally, "wasting" a score does make sense in that there are a limited amount of them you can award before your credibility starts slipping away. Too many "perfect" games and it'll look like you have no standards.

Come on, friends,

If they gave it five pages, you'd think it'd be a ten. Have they ever given a ten anyways?

They can't be compared, two completely different generations.

Wow, they like Metroid Prime 3 better than New Super Mario Brothers? I don't get these guys.

That was a joke, right? If Metroid Prime 3 doesn't deserve a 10 then I don't know what does.

Metroid Prime Trilogy. And no, Adam isn't joking. The general critic consensus seems to be the original Prime is the best.

Pft. The original Prime was good, but there was far too much backtracking and it was a bit boring. Prime 3 had a perfect mix of exploration and shoot-em-up Metroid action, and the controls changed the way I thought about FPS. But that's just my opinion.

This is not a fair comparison. It's a bit like comparing the original Super Mario Bros. on the NES with Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES.
