Run+Dodge = Dive, you know that panic run...if you dodge during that you'll dive, and that allows you to avoid damage for the most part. (I think there are a few attacks where it won't work though, not sure)

MH3 Wiki says he is only weak to fire.

It also says that "The Barioth has one of the lower offline healths, calculated to be 4000."

@BellGoRiiing You do not need to use Ballistas, it just made it easier for me. You just need to keep at it!

You actually should be dodging towards him. You just have to figure out the timing. I think the best place to be dodging is underneath its wings(?).
Barioth's second weakness is thunder, but I would strongly recommend the Wyvern Blade "Fire". Also he is very easy with the Lance, as long as you have some understanding of it.

Yeah, once I found out about that dodging thing it made things easier. But still, this is Barioth we're talking about. (I suck fighting against him too, so...yeeeaaaah, lol)

I need to work on that. I tried once, but I was unprepared with enough potions. Just a few more hits and he would've been down, but I died fainted.

I wasted both of my paintballs, and after looking for him everywhere, I tried fishing one last time in area 4, and though it didn't work before, it finally popped out of the water.

I'm trying for the Great Baggi armor now.

I agree, he does seem like a cakewalk. However, I was horribly unprepared. Ah well, next time!

I'm really starting to get tired of playing this. Honestly, I think I've had my fill of spending hours upon hours attempting to acquire super-rare items to forge armor and weapons. It was a blast for awhile but now I'm just getting sick of it.

I'm thinking I'll just try to beat the game offline and call it quits.

...Ok for some odd reason I had some dream about random stuff, one of the parts being me turning into Gigginox. xD
Weird, yes...but I kind enjoyed attacking random people in some building. lol

@pix Im glad I came late to this game (even though I got it a few days after release).
Cause while people who have put in so much are getting bored, im getting into it.

No....my dreams are stupid, I think it was like I was ACTING like Giggi...while everyone is looking at me like I'm stupid or something....But apparently the attacks were working on my targets. xD

@Pixelman I think most of my fun has come from helping others. Im at hr55 and have not done 1 single quest outside of my urgent. Yes i agree it can become tiresome repeating quest after quest but i still have fun playing with you guys from this site. First thing i do when i get online is check my friends list and find someone to hunt with. I keep checking every half hour or so to see if someone has come online. Ill have to start at some point doing my 6 rank quest but only if no ones on on my friends list. Or someone of equal rank or higher.

@turtlelink I hate to tell you this but about 100 hours or more. Thats if you dont even play offline which i sugest you play offline till at least 3 rank quest. That will add about another 15 to 20 hours. Im at 55 and have 275 hours played!!

@turtlelink If you do the quests that give the most HRP then you could do it in 15 hours. If you stay online though, you can probs get to 40 before the 17th.

Bummer, there's no way I can get to HR 40 in time. I hope maybe there's a chance they'll have the event again sometime.
