Dragon at -4 is his first weakness and lightning at -3 is his secondary weakness.

I did some pencil work (I love doing that) and I actually don't need a whole lot of parts to make the armor. I need like, one more hide, 5 scales, some firey stones, etc. One thing though, I can't forge the helmet or waist armor. Sup with that?

Edit: Ooo I just checked, and you need Lagi horns to forge those. I don't have any of those yet.

You need to do the capture quest for horns.

Any tips for Gobul, I kinda quit for a while and now I'm getting back into it, right now I have a Barroth Switch-Axe, Chiminal and Bone Armor, and a Medium Bowgun, any suggestions with this fight, I've tried several times and the Bastard kills me, while Barroth is now fairly easy to kill (Just not quickly) and finally how do you forge Barroth armor, I never once saw that option on the forge menu

@pixel - You dont have to capture Lagiacrus to get horns. All you have to do is [gasp] break his horns. So stab him in the face until one of them is broken. Then stab his back until the horns there break. If you break them both you will most likely get a horn. They will be in Quest Rewards only though.

I never got it by doing a normal hunt quest. I had to do capture.

Wel then you have bad luck or you didn't break the horns.

Capture is the better way to go as you cant carve horns and capping gives you a couple more items in Quest Rewards, in turn giving you a couple more chances at Hrons.

If you really want to get nitty gritty on the horn farming do this. Selct the hunt mission, gho and break the horns, then beak his chest ( completes sub-quest A). After that return to camp and end via sub-quest, using the bed. This will cut 5-10 minutes off each run.

Bloody hell. I got royally owned by him on my last run - I ran out of Mega Potions before I even broke his chest! This is going to take way too long on single-player... I think I'll start the online missions. How long until I can fight my first Lagi there?

We're cancelling the Barroth quest for now, but we can allocate another time if anyone wants to do the quest.

Hey all,

Any tips for a bowgun user on beating Lagiacrus? I'm currently doing the 4-star offline urgent and he's giving me fits. lol I use my flaming & crag shots on land and sub in the water, but I can't seem to put the beast down. (Of course, he tends to stay in the water the majority of the time).

I'm officially in love with the online. Quested with a few other people and it was awesome. None of us had a keyboard though, so communication was pretty amusing.

Finished up a couple of 3* quests. Those d@&% bugs are SO ANNOYING! I just need to find some more Ice Crystal and machalite ore to finish my alloy armor's legs. Also went to the flooded forest for the first time today. Very beautiful

@pixel.... were pretty much exactly on the same part in the game. I forged the Lagi Sword and its great as it has Lightning Elemental, the Vulcanis isnt exactly the best, but do forge a Chieftan GS (u prob have most everything to forge it already) and then kill Rathalos a few times and you can for the Rath GS wich has Fire damage with really helps with Lagi apparently.

I took down Rathalos finally last night. Really wasnt too hard but I dang near ran out of time. Finally having to start using 2 traps per monster as my skills alone seem to fail me

@JR... aye you said that you use a lot of Status Effects on Weapons. Im 70+ hrs into the game and Ive got one weapon available with a status and that is a LS with Par and its horrible. Never par anything and I always run out of time with it as it only hits for like 350.

@slapshot: From now on I'm thinking I'll do my farming online and get all buffed up before I try taking on stuff locally. By the way, do both people have to be online at the same time to send friend requests?
