Im kinda getting ticked off. I ran out of time with a Rathalos badly injured and a flippin Ratian pulls his Sting to Stun to Instant Kill on me like 6 times tonight. I need TWO Rath Scales to forge a GS and this is kinda ticking me off. Im taking a break from MH at least until tomorrow lol.

Ive got my Barroth Armor at straight Lv 4 with 105 Dmg and using a really good GS, but still just getting owned. Thats even using Two Traps a monster. It almost seems like Im at a got to go online to level and come back part of the game. Ive only got like 3 more quest left on 5 Star.

My Barroth Armor is at 96 def right now. I think farming offline is a bad idea... I got a bunch of Rathian scales etc. while I was playing with JayArr and HolyMackerel today. More people = quicker and easier takedowns. :3

lol....yeah we were just doing a simple 1 star Peco Cap mission and a Rathian showed up....dumb move on her part. We all jumped it her and let Peco go play elsewhere for a bit.

Geez. A wireless keyboard at best buy costs $50.

@JayArr Actually Peco was hanging around being a nuisance so I dunged him. "You got dunged!"

Yeah, it's fun to do the low rank missions again. I haven't done the Goldenfish or the Crystal Bones ones for ages.

EDIT: @Chucko Yeah, wireless keyboards cost more than wired ones but they are worth it imo. I played MH3 with a wired USB keyboard for a week or two and I couldn't stand sitting so close to the TV, the cord getting pulled out, etc.

EDIT2: Thanks to irken004's post below - My keyboard is Logitech Wireless Keyboard K320. I've been using it since a week after MH3's NA release and I still haven't had to replace the batteries. Good size and weight, sturdy, and responds quickly. I recommend it. ($29.99 on Amazon!)

Well I'm feeling very pleased with myself, as I've finally offed that Barroth offline.

As a puny gunner I'm feeling double-smug, particulalrly as I got all strategic on his .
I felvine bombed him twice in area 2, trapped him twice and poisoned him with tinged meat before bringing him down with a combination of water and crag S2 shells.

GO ME.

I think I might go back to Switch-Axe again. On both Ura and Diablos my time ran out and they weren't even ready to capture. So I'm giving up on LS for now. Also, does anyone know whether I'll have to fight Agnaktor before Caedus on offline mode?

You should`nt have to i never did. For that matter i never fought diablos either.

I don`t mean to be a copycat or anything, but could you folks who use KBs post a link to the keyboard you all use so I KNOW it will work? Tank you.

I tried fighting Ceadus for the first time and it said "Failed to rout the Elderdragon" and I failed the quest. I mean WHAT?! I didn't even run out of time so could someone tell me what happened there?

@thelaywer You have to put a world of hurt on him to follow him into the third section. Use your best weapon eat to increase your strengh and set cha cha to his weakness also.

@thelawyer Also Ceadeus' lost health is retained between quests, so you can defeat him just by fighting him over and over. If you break his horn and then fail, you'll see the next time his horn is still broken. Just keep at it and you'll eventually win.

Thanks for the advice guys! I now have the perfect strategy with a little help from Monster Hunter Wiki. I'm gonna use bombs!

@H-Mac Isnt that only once you get him to section 3 though.

I've just failed the quest again for the 3rd time but now I've taken out his beard and his horn which I think is quite an achievment. So, if he's still injured is he going to be in area 3 or not?
