@Slapshot82 The off line only goes up to 5 rank and it gets really hard at that. I got there last week i thought i would beat the game in a a day or two. Ended up taking a week as there is a lot to do You are going to have to collect hard to find items to finish the game. The end boss isnt that hard he just has an insane amount of hit points and you only get a half an hour to hunt him. Also it all under water to. No land fights!
To answer your other question. The plus means it is a more advanced item for stronger forging. For example the grt jaggi+ armor has a starting defence of 38. Thats stronger than anything you can get off line and rank 3 or lower online even at its weekiest state. However i noticed before rank 4 you cant upgrade your armor past 6 now you can go all the way to 10 if you have the right items after rank 4. I only have one piece of armor at 6 and checked what it would go to at 7 and it jumped 20 plus points. So have fun offline nd come back online much stronger. The last boss will give you helious armor and you will be given a long sword near the games end. Just talk to everyone near the end. Think i got it from the ships trademan.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
@slapshot: I have Divine Blessing and I always bring 5 mega pickaxes with me. Thanks for the tips on where to find it. Also, I checked the MH wiki and the strongest LS has 693 damage, which is stronger than the lance (506 dmg - my weapon of choice).
Hello fellow hunters. I`m getting into the great sword a lot, and I`m torn between these 3 upgrades for jawblade sword, 1. Golem blade, 2. Red wing( I already have 2 fire weapons), or 3. Wyvern jawblade? Thanks!
I actually took down a Barroth today with my Great Sword, AND managed to cut his tail off. I was pretty proud of myself, considering that was the first time I've ever tried beating a monster with one. Almost forged my first LS too - just need some more machalite ore and baggi hides!
@Bloodysaber Are you in NA or EU? I want to forge the Gigginox+ set too, not to mention fully upgrade my Poison Stinger. I need to do some major Nox grinding.
@NintenFreak My old Belkin kept disconnecting me as well. Every 5 minutes or so when using the Wii browser I'd get a "Network disconnected" message and then a "You have a working network connection" message, clearing whatever page I had loaded. It even caused connection problems on my computers.
I got a new router a little before MH Tri was released and it works stupendously. The range is far larger (it goes all the way downstairs to my Wii which is on the other side of the house) and never disconnects. I even get faster internet speeds for some reason. It's a Linksys WRT610N - looks snazzy, and the tech is high-grade with dual-band B/G and N networks. Don't know if that's within your budget though, but it definitely works well.
EDIT: Actually before writing off your router for good, check your router settings and make sure you have your Wii's ports correctly forwarded. If that fails to make a difference, set your Wii's address to DMZ on your router. That cleared up any connection and crashing problems I had with MH Tri.

NA. I'm usually on around midnight (EST). Managed to get a group going and killed a single gigginox before someone had a breakdown and left. It was... strange.
Just a reminder to people haven't posted their friend codes already - the NintendoLife NA MH3 Friend List is in the Online Gaming forum. Go there and post your character name, hunter ID, and whether you have a keyboard and/or Wii Speak. I'll add you to the list.

Hey all, Agent here. I've been having a blast offline (finishing up my 4star quests now), however I know that I've been missing out on a good part of what MH is. So...I'll be sure to add my name/ID (if I haven't done so already) and look forward to teaming with you all!

Holy crap, baggi hides are such a pain to find. I did the 20 baggi quest and I only got one in the rewards box. Any special trick to getting them or do you just have to get lucky? I need five more for my long sword.
I'm HR31 now! Jhen was epic, my friend and I owned him.
