If you don't like the people your playing with On-line just leave that city. There are to many gates and with too many cities to just stay in one you're not having fun in.
@Nintendo-64 Some 95% of the teams I've joined have been good. The other 5% were dickheads, which happens much more often elsewhere on the internet, or they were noobs in pro clothing. All of my bad experiences were in the Expert server - I never go there anymore. Go to the Recruitment server, it's where the real pros (and cool people) are.
Also the Open servers are best for casual play, if you're up for that.
If you want to play tactically then you need to discuss with your team in advance about your plan. The only way you'll ever be able to use the sleep status successfully, for example, is make sure they bring Barrel Bombs and let them know that you're going to be using sleep attacks. When the monster falls asleep, bomb him for massive damage.
Also you haven't seen Alatreon yet. Good luck fighting him, he's a blast!
EDIT: And Tech101 and Badger are right. It's a great game for its fun and deep gameplay, but it's also about the community and having fun with others.
I tried everything you mentioned guys! So whats going wrong? If i could find good people it is great like i said before but it seems i meet just fools. Ofcourse i want to have fun but with the wrong people you can forget it.
And yes,the people on the expert servers are mostly stupid.
@Nintendo-64: I'd suggest questing with us EU:NL dudes, but our HRs are too lowly for you, and we mess about too much. You wouldn't be impressed when in the middle of a fight, I stop in front of you just so I can give you a wave.
ok so i just tackled the biggest beast off line yet..............................my back yard. Could of used a four person team on that one! Hole crap i think the grass was as long as jhens tusks. Oh well i quess that one will respawn in about a month or so ( or maybe i should'nt wait that long) Yeah; i should it cuts into my monster hunter time(stupid grass).
John 8:7 He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

And I'll wave back! However... If I'm using a Bowgun, I'm going to select Pellet ammo and shoot you until you fall on your butt. Also, who hates those Switch Axe noobs? Y'know those guys who swing it up into the air and send you flying. That just takes the p*ss, especially in the middle of a fight. Your flung OVER the monster and your head lands in something nasty. D:
Yeah, I tried to give Badger a wave last night and got shot. Serves me right for standing in front of him. All this silliness will probably go out the window when I'm working on the harder beasties. I'll type less, stop gesturing, then come in here and start going on about how much I hate the game.
As for Barioth, I may need to change weapon (but I wuv ma Great Sword, nooo). One of them I handled no prob, but haven't got time to be sheathing/unsheathing when there are two to kill. :/
@ Machu - Bring Dung Bombs. When there are tow of them on the screen at once stank nasty one them and it should take off. Once again, PitTraps are your BFFs. You got this bro.
My neighbor has a big colored stone at the end of his drive. Yesterday he caught me hitting it with a pickaxe. I said " Chill bro! I'm looking for Macalite Ore here!" He wasn't amused.....
Cheers JayArr. I CAN DO IT! And lol at the pickaxe habit.
Diablos I don't mind, at least I can predict what he's gonna do. Barioth's movements are very different to every other monster and he always seems to be one step ahead of me. Oh, and he hates me. D:

You're not a proper pick-axe fiend if you haven't tried mining something when there's a Barroth lining up to charge at you.
Man. I dunno who is more hyper. Diablos or Barioth.
Barioth,he throws himself around the whole area. Its annoying. Especially in Area 6, its tightly compacted with no escape and your always gonna get hit.
God... I need this Earth Dragongem but I never seem to get it...
@Pixel.... dont even try to find it there. Go to the Flooded Forest, Frozen Tundra or Volcano and you will find tons of it quicly. Also for farming. Buy the Leather Armor Suite and add a few Decorations to up you Whim, Speed Gathering and Gathering skills and you will get Divine Blessing wich will let you use Pick Axes and Nets a ridicilous amount of times without breaking and you can gather really fast and so many time. It helps alot for farming.
Ive now completed almost all the 5 star missions and half of the 6 star missions. Does it stop at 6? I really hope not, Im having a blast offline and when I come back online, I will be a beast, as my armor and weapons are so much better now. I can take down Barroth so easily now. Heck even the Rathalos wasnt too terrible. The Lagiacrus fight was indeed pretty tough and I was glad I took in herbs, honey and blue mushrooms so I could combine more potions cause man did I go through them lol.
Anyone use Long Swords. I forged the first one and I like the way it moves, but dang is it weak. It took me over 45 minutes to take down a Great Baggi, wich is not cool. Is it even worth trying to forge a better one? Im thinking the one with higher Par skill will be good online to stop monsters in place more often, IDK.
Oh and one more quick one.... whats up with the (ex.) Great Jaggi Claw+ Items. What does the + mean?
