I didn't see a topic discussing this game (other than support threads), so I thought I'd might as well be the one to start it.
I just got the game about an hour ago. I opened it up, said "wow", booted it up, said "wow", played it, and said "WOW". I appropriately started Prime 1 first, and it's amazing me far more than Prime 3 did (which I played earlier this year). The graphics are incredibly crisp and clean, and put nearly every other Wii game to shame. It's the most atmospheric game I've ever played.
But meh, I'm just saying stuff that's been said before. I'll say this too: Go get it.
Mine is paid for and everything, it's just that small little question about release dates in Europe.. I feel with you Machu
On a brighter note, the release of this game finally had me upgrade my TV, ordered a 32" Full HD lcd tv from LG today it should be here well before the game. Away with the 20" CRT from the 90's. Time to get my Samus Aran on in 16:9 480p.

Yeah, it's amazing just how well MP1 aged. I keep seeing reviews being snarky about the textures, but with the exception of the odd scan-visor zoom-in, everything looks phenomenal. Better than nearly all 3rd party Wii games, by quite a margin. It's absolutely lovely, and deserves to be reexperienced. Glad you're enjoying it!
One of the biggest reasons I bought the game is to experience Prime 2 for the first time. But upon booting it up I started a file on the first one because I've never played it to the end, thinking that I'd start Prime 2 later. But I haven't gotten around to Prime 2 yet, I am hooked on the first one.

@Firkraag: Don't get rid of the CRT until you are certain the LG either has no video lag or has a "game mode" to reduce it as much as possible. If it has video lag and no game mode you'll want to throw yourself off a cliff. It will be extremely noticeable if you are used to playing on a CRT. In games which use the IR pointer, the pointer on screen will lag way behind your remote motions. Ditto for button presses. Basically, everything you do will lag way behind when you do it. By "way behind" I mean a very noticeable fraction of a second. Which means you will be late to react to things which happen in the game. It's pure heck. Good luck!
I'm curious if anyone else was able to get the free shirt & poster. I called when Gamestop opened yesterday but they hadn't even received the game shipment in yet. I kept calling until they finally received the shipment in around 2pm. I sped over and the employee actually told me they were out of shirts. I almost panicked but the other employee found the last shirt & poster for me. I couldn't believe it. Here I though I was one of the first ones to pick up my copy yet I was the last one to get a shirt & poster. I'm glad I went when I did. The shirt is pretty cool and the poster is awesome! They even gave me a free Mercenaries 2 Bini!
@Zaphod it's a modern LCD tv, was released about 6 months ago, surely they can not still have these problems can they? The latency of it is the same as my computer monitor, 5ms.

Watch the video in HD to truely appreciate the difference.

@Chicken+Brutus: Just OoC, are you playing through all three again in order?
Yep. Like somebody above me (too lazy to scroll!) I've never played MP2 so was primarily looking forward to that, but got sucked into MP1 all over again. (Which I never did finish...the Phazon Mines section killed me every time.)
I'll play MP2 next as I've never even experienced it before, and I'll try to 100% MP3 this time through. Because I'm crazy that way.
This is such an excellent series. As glad as I am to have all 3 games in one place, I'm pretty sad that Prime is no more. Here's hoping Other M is at least as good. (So far, it seems like it could well be.)
Never played any of the Metroid Prime games and wasn't previously considering this, due to lack of online play, but with universally acclaimed scores around the board, I just might get this if I don't get an PS3.

You're still getting MPT, end of story.
