I'm looking for one of these games, but I'm not sure which to get. I know Other M had some glitches, but I'm a pretty big Metroid fan, and I've never played a 3D Zelda besides the ocarina of time demo on Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

go with twilight then, you got to start somewhere.

People will be telling you not to get Other M but they just can't accept different things. It's still a very good game if you give it a chance. Actually I can see a bunch of TP haters trying to talk you out of that one too but I loved it.
Both games are worth it IMO. Zelda Will last you longer obviously so I'd lean more towards that one.

If you are more a Metroid fan, get Other M. The story is bad, but not half as bad as everyone says, and everything else is great, at least compared to Prime. It's a lot like Metroid Fusion in 3D.

Twilight Princess is decent, especially if you haven't played a lot of Zelda, but Skyward Sword looks like it'll be much better.

Both games suffer from weak controls, but the Wii version of Twilight Princess is pretty much unplayable imo. Go with Other M. Despite it's flaws and all the crap people have slung about it, it is a good game at its core.

Both are underwhelming entries in their respective franchise but I'd go for Twilight Princess.

Get Twilight Princess, definitely — unless you prefer linear mindless button mashers.

Zelda is a longer game for sure. It's hard to say which is better, though. They're both great games. Twilight Princess takes a little bit to get into.

I agree with Godot. Metroid Other M definitely has better replay value , but you will get a long quest in Zelda. Maybe just wait for the New Zelda to come out if your on a budget.

Get Twilight Princess. The only reason you should consider Other M is if you just want to see Samus blow stuff up.

I personally enjoyed both.
Personally I'd go for Twilight Princess but I'm more of a Zelda fan than Metroid so don't take my word for it.
If you don't have too much money to spend maybe you'd be better off getting Other M and just getting Skyward Sword instead of Twilight Princess, but if you have the time and money then both are well worth playing.

Hmmm, I've just got into Metroid so I still need to play Other M, but Twilight Princess is Nintendo Selects so it's $20, and Other M is only $20 new at GameStop. So, you can get both new for $40.

Currently Playing:
Xbox 360: Arkham City, MW3, Gears 3, UMV3, Battlefield 3
PS3: inFAMOUS 2, LBP 2. Rachet & Clank: All 4 One, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3
Xperia Play: Crash Bandicoot
iOS: Sonic CD, Infinity Blade, Arkham City Lockdown, Mega Man X, Chrono Trigger

That's pretty great value right there if you ask me.

@Adam: If mindless violence really is the only thing you want out of a Metroid game, then you must hate the rest of the series.

It was a "joke." I like all the 2D Metroids. Other M and Prime 1 are fun to play through once each. I would have preferred Hunters 2 to any of the Wii Metroids though. Hunters on Wii would have been great.

However, if I really wanted mindless violence, I'd go with Corruption, not Other M.

i like other M better. It is actually my favorite metroid title. i loved the story, and was very happy with it. I paid 50 dollars for it and think it is easlisy worth that money. Its cheaper now so it will be even better. Twilight princess was fun at first, but ended up being very dissapointing with almost no replay value for me. Plus, the Other M has a movie feature, and ive actually watched it a few times with my friends and they all loved it.

Corruption's combat is more straight-forward than I would have liked, but Other M's is just rapidly pressing the same buttons until all the enemies are dead. I might not have cared so much about it if there was more to the game than just shooting at everything that gets in your way.

I find it odd that some people bash Hunters for being more like an FPS, and love Other M despite it having almost nothing in common with Metroid games.
