Other M is enjoyable for finding secret stuff, not for combat, though it is no less braindead than the Prime games — the only difference is that in Prime you have to hold Z before the mindless button mashing begins. I don't like auto-aim in any game, but I don't fault Other M for removing the need to hold Z. I recall Corruption only vaguely, so I don't remember if it was any more interesting than the previous games, but I just felt like I was firing a machine gun in Corruption mode, and I didn't like that. I imagine Trilogy made combat better, too, but I couldn't be bothered to replay the games. Too long and slow. I don't think Other M is significantly better than the Prime games, if better at all. I just like that they tried something different. Prime got worse and worse in my opinion. Other M is basically Fusion in 3D with a worse story attached to it. Prime never comes close to being like any of the other Metroid games. It's its own kind of game.
As for Hunters, I don't like Hunter's single-player. I like the multiplayer. They could have made it a completely different series and I wouldn't have cared. It's Metroidiness has nothing to do with why I like it. It's my favorite competitive FPS.
inb4 zeznoob Well, since you claim to be a huge Metroid fan, I'd say go with Other M. But whoever said get both new for $40 is on to something, and I would honestly do that.

How about just get Ocarina of Time on Virtual Console, its better than both of those games But if your completely decided on one of these two games, then get TP. Other M has weird controls and is too easy.

If your looking for length and quality gameplay TP for sure (I think the art is ok), but if you want a unique and very atmospheric experience you could do worse than Other M, but the game is short though if you're one to grind for all the unlockables/upgrades you could add a good playthrough or two.
I loved Twilight Princess; it's in among my favorite games of all time, but the Wii version is just horrible. Get the GCN version if you're going to get TP. Metroid other M was also a great game, definitely not worthy of all the hate it got, but overall, TP is more game for your money.
Twilight Princess! That game was the most epic ever. O_O Even slightly scary at times. Definitely a slap in the face compared to previous Zelda games.
I played Other M, and it was good, but it might've been better if I had played previous Metroid games. I wasn't too into it, but I'm glad I finally played one of them. Wasn't impressed.
Get Other M, definitely — unless you prefer tedious retread waggle fests.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

So unfortunate that they felt the need to port the game to the Wii. I feel like it would be MUCH more appreciated if people had played the GCN version from the beginning. I couldn't understand how so many people didn't like that game until I played the Wii version and though "OH. THIS is why people didn't like Twilight Princess."
Waggle was bad, but I don't think that is why most didn't like it. I didn't like it because the world was so drab and dreary, and the wolf was the only thing very new to the game, but it was nothing compared to Windwaker's boat or Majora's mask. It might have interested me more if the wolf had a bunch of power-ups to find, too, and had his own dungeons, etc. To be honest, I don't remember most games well if it has been more than two days since I've played them, so maybe none of that is accurate, but I remember that waggle was not all of it. I was just burned out on the same old formula.
Both are 10/10 in my book. Must-haves in any good Wii collection.
Twilight Princess is a great Zelda game, although not necessarily the best (I prefer Wind Waker and Majora's Mask), and Other M is one of the best games ever (definately the best Metroid game - just closely followed by Super Metroid and Metroid Prime Trilogy).
