Topic: Metroid Other M on sale $4.99

2D Metroid by Retro Studios would be gold.

I think that this game is $9.99 new at Gamestop, if anyone is looking for a cheap new copy.

I played through to the final ending, but I didn't get 100% of the items. I thought that it was a fun game, except that some of the bosses were way too hard. The story was sort of interesting - about average for a video game, in my opinion.

Speak for yourself. None of that stuff shaped my opinion of the awful gameplay and game design.

The best Metroid for only 5 bucks? I need to buy 20 of them!

2D metroid for the 3DS by wayforward- who did the excellent aliens infestation for the DS- and 3D metroid for the wii U by retro studios would be fine. personally, team ninja (ideally) should stay away from this franchise after what happened with other M.

I doubt Retro Studios is going to do any more Metroid games, but if they do, a 2D game would make more sense. They've proven how well they can make adventure games (Metroid Prime) and 2D platformers (DKCR). A 2D Metroid would be like combining the two.

It was my first experience with a Metroid game and I was like meh. Not what I was expecting.

you should try the earlier games such as metroid 2, super metroid or the prime series. the first 2 are your standard side scrolling platform games, whereas the prime series is imo far better than other M. especially as the controls are far more consistent.

Why don't we have deals like that in this country. The cheapest I could find it was €28,00 for that game.

It's back up to $49.99 at Best Buy. Imagine that, a 900 percent increase.

I can think of so many Other things to spend my $4.99 on than this Metroid game.

Did Nintendo stop shipping these? Mine's still on backorder.

i just went on the U.S nintendo site, clicked on metroid: other m and then where it says buy now, and it takes you to other stores that sell it such as walmart, gamestop and amazon. so it appears that you have order it from one of them, who'll ship it to you and not through nintendo.

I mean I bought it from Best Buy and I wondering if they will ever stock up again.

Finally got around to playing this one. I've never really played Metroid before, besides a couple hours of Prime 3, but besides the bad voice acting and boring story the gameplay is actually pretty fun. I was surprised by how intense the game is, I guess that's because of my Metroid inexperience. I'm not very far, but the game has plenty of action between all of the cutscenes, and most of it is pretty fun. I really dislike the first person clue searching areas of the game though. They seem pointless and detract from the flow of the game. I'm going to try to force myself to finish this game, although it isn't my usual fare and I'm usually not in he mood to play it.

I should try playing during the day so I'm not so creeped out and don't jump every time I encounter a boss. D:

Because that is what all the cool kids are up to these days. Other M's "voice acting" was good. If people want to complain about the dialogue go ahead, I will not. I liked Samus' voice and her retrospection. Sure my view of her has changed slightly but when I play the 2nd greatest game ever Super Metroid for the umpteenth time I will have a little better understanding of her relationship to the baby and Ridley. From now I am going to picture Samus having an Oh S***! moment whenever she sees Ridley, but then switching to the combat visor and into bad ass elite soldier mode then proceed to send him back to Space Pirate hell.

I kinda figured when she encountered Ridley in the Prime games she was probably like "oh just die already" lol
