Topic: Is anyone concerned that the NES is being neglected?

We've only had two NES games since summer 2010 (S.C.A.T. and Faxanadu).

I'm not concerned personally, I'd rather see more SNES games like we have been getting lately with the odd NeoGeo and N64 title to break things up. Besides, the NES still has several more games than the SNES despite being neglected for a while. There are a few NES games I'd like to see of course but my main interest is in the SNES.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

I saw this thread on the homepage and hoped it was another April Fools about actual retail-release NES carts being somewhat on the decline these days. BUT NO.

I AM DISAPPOINT, BASS.

But yeah we totally need more NES on VC

I'm not really that concerned to be honest.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for Contra, Metal Gear and Bionic Comando. And I'm sure there's a few other NES games I'd like to see, Metal Gear 2, Clash at Demonhead, ect. I also want to see way more N64 titles. Where is Rogue Squadron and Battle for Naboo? I'd buy the Turok games (and other N64 shooters) if they had Wii Remote support.

I dont think we will see Turok since Acclaim is outta business we might be surprised. Anyway if they do release the N64 version it wont have Wii Remote support since those are just straight ports of the N64 games.

The only NES games at this point that I'd like to see will never happen because they're licensed titles.

Whats a NES?

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

Anywho, yesh, I would like to see more NES games. Particularly Clash At Demon Head, some more stuff from Konami, Metal Storm, Journey of Silius, and Little Nemo and the Dream Master. Oh, and the rest of the Mega Man games of course.

I'd download that for sure. I also would like ducktales, that was capcom.

I am not too concerned. There are still alot of good NES games that I have to buy still. I am sure that when ones become available they will add them.

Unfortunately alot of those Disney games like Ducktales and Chip N Dale wont come out to the VC cause I think that Capcom doesnt have the Disney license anymore. Its kinda like the whole mess with Rare games.

That was awesome in 2 player a bit like Power Stone if it was a 2D 8 bit rodent platformer.

Isn't 90% of Western NES games already out? I assume that they'll get the last 10 out of the way (original games not licensed).

Main Final Fantasy & Quest/Shinobi Team fan...but I do like many SEGA games and a few Nintendo games.

I can be cute if I want to be, but I choose not to...as it's not my style.

There are quite a few games I like to see come out, but I'm not concern yet. I'm actually quite glad both this and the Sega Genesis is getting a break, almost all of their best games they can release this generation is already out. While with the SNES/TurboGrafx-16/Neo Geo, there are still relatively plenty of games left to release before it runs out.

91 NES VC games released in North America (I can only think of 2 games available in PAL and not in NA: Devil World and Smash Ping Pong, so 93 games), out of around 800 NES games. People have counted 776 NTSC NES games, and I think there were around 20-25 "PAL-exclusive" games (though only a couple of those were true exclusives: not on Famicom/FDS).
