I don't understand people who willingly choose GC/CC control over pointer. Pointer is much more intuitive and accurate.
Is it a 'hardcore' thing? Y'know, you're not a serious gamer if you use a wiimote?
For me it's because my thumb is the only part of my body that's coordinated, and I've been using Thumbsticks for so long that I can perform actions with those with a far greater level of accuracy than any other type of control, including Mouse and keyboard (I have never gotten a kill while using one ever) and the Wii remote (where the gun never stops staying still because I couldn't hold the stupid wiimote still if my life depended on it). Sure, perhaps if I practiced I could get good at it, but why do that when I can grab a standard controller and be good at it immediately? And that may be the most important part. Perhaps to you, Wii mote is more intuitive, but to those who, say, have been playing Call of Duty or Halo competively for the last few years (just an example because, well, everyone I know who games has been doing that), nothing is going to be as intuitive as an analogue controller on the right settings.
ON the Wiimote to standard controls argument: Yeah, it's hard to go back to traditional controls. One time, I was playing Bad Company 2, and I could not shoot a thing when I was on a turret.
Thats all it takes really is a bit of practice and wanting to learn it. Some of these people are sadly stuck in there ways and refuse to learn a different way, and when they cant do as good as they think they should be doing with there control method they blame everything else.
For years I use to play nothing but the console games cause when I was younger my parents refused to get me a computer. When I first started playing games on the computer I had a hard time using the keyboard and the mouse, but eventually there were too many good games that I was missing out. So I buckled down and started using the keyboard and mouse. Now even though I have the option on some games on PC to use my Xbox controller I choose the Keyboard and mouse setup cause I just find it more accurate.

Golden eye, like someone already said black ops will be obsolete next year when MW3 or what ever comes out, people now are saying REACH is bad since Black Ops is out
Digitaloggery 3DS FC: Otaku1 WiiU: 013017970991 Nintendo of Japan niconico community is full of kawaii! Must finish my backlagg or at least get close this year W...
Well, first of all, Metroid Prime is nothing like an actual FPS. its more of an adventure game, so dont expect either Goldeneye or CoD to be anything like it. secondly, are you talking about Black Ops on the wii or 360/ps3?

From my experience Goldeneye seems a fair bit longer than Black Ops and a lot more replayable too. COD games tend to be pretty damn linear whilst Goldeneye gives different routes and methods for the majority of the game. Much preferred the Goldeneye campaign to Black Ops(not that BO's is bad, it was pretty good).

The company that made the Modern Warfare games no longer exist, and Treyarch kinda needs the two year span to put out a quality product. Besides, there are still loads of people who play Call of Duty 4 and World at War, and even with Black Ops out there are still plenty of people playing Modern Warfare 2. I don't expect Black Ops community to go away anytime soon.
Well since a whole new company has arisen to create the CoD series, since IW dispanded, so in my opinion, Black Ops might be the last good CoD game. But either way, you'll be getting a new CoD game every year, and because of that, the CoD series doesn't take my fancy, but its still a good series none-the-less, if only they would stop making a new one for every year.
But with GoldenEye, its a one-time classic. And I doubt we'll be seeing a GoldenEye 2 next year. And if I do, I will eat my feet!!
But I would like to see a updated GE however, with Zombie Mode pl0x? Pwn the CoD series? :3

...so you don't like the series because they keep making new games? Okay.
And Wii games can't have updates, remember? Maybe in Goldeneye 2 at least. Which I'm sure won't be too far down the road.

I meant update, as in a new GE release, but with new modes added. But not a whole new GoldenEye... just revamped with new modes, new guns, more options etc.

Yes they can, in fact Black Ops is going to have the proper DLC. I think Goldeneye can have small updates too considering they're going to unlock modes next year.

i disagree, the quality difference between goldeneye and the first conduit makes me doubt high voltage can do anything to close that gap. it's hard to think of anything goldeneye doesn't do far better, including controls, the conduit's one strong suit. we're talking about the work of the biggest staff that one of the biggest current publishers has ever used on wii vs. the work of a bunch of guys who were just making sub-average wiiware games. the resources they have to work with simply aren't comparable, and sadly they're not exactly the type of company with the raw talent to overcome that handicap. by all means buy conduit 2 if you're interested, i'm sure it'll be a good game, but you'd have to be insane to pass either of these options up for it first.
You'll likely be surprised. Everything we've seen from Conduit 2 so far looks like they are doing a really good job at significantly improving on all the problem areas from the first Conduit plus adding a lot of great new features like local multiplayer. It's impossible for any Wii FPS to do "far better" than the first Conduit in controls, anyway, since they're just that good. Also, all 3 of HVS's WiiWare games have scored above average on this website.
Besides, I prefer sci-fi (especially the weapons) and hate stealth gameplay. Why should you have to use stealth (well, use it or face highly increased difficulty) in a standard FPS, anyway? Save that for games like Metal Gear Solid.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

i think he doesn't like how many new games they make in such short periods of time. it kind of demonstrates a lack of imagination when games can be pumped out like that one after the other. they're at the point where the series may as well skip retail releases and become a continuous stream of DLC- it's all just new maps and new guns each time anyway.
besides, even the best games will get old fast with too much of the same thing in a row- look at the metroid trilogy. would anyone be excited by the sixth or seventh prime game if they had kept it going?

But they haven't run out of ideas, and each game is significantly improved over the last game and offer enough content to make it worth being an entirely new game.(Call of Duty 3 excluded) And for the record, yes, I would be purchase Metroid Prime 7 if it came out, because I loved Metroid Prime 1-3 and I would love to play more of it without having to do the same things over again. It's the same reason why anyone buys sequels.
