Uhhh.... Eurocom is more experienced at making FPSs than Treyarch is and they've been making Bond games for longer than Treyarch's been making COD games.

Go for Black Ops... Much better game imo, the only reason someone would say Goldeneye because... Well it's got the name "Goldeneye" wth do you expect? But in reality Black Ops is the FAR better game.

I don't understand people who willingly choose GC/CC control over pointer. Pointer is much more intuitive and accurate.
Is it a 'hardcore' thing? Y'know, you're not a serious gamer if you use a wiimote?
I use the CC for GoldenEye. I tried the Wiiremote/Nunchuk and I just couldnt get the hang of it. It seemed to squirrley for me I would barely move my arm holding the Wiiremote and I would start spinning lol. To well to each their own I guess.

I'd say Goldeneye, i'd use the remote and nunchuck but i got the golden classic controller pro edition so i'm using that.

I don't have either, but from playing GoldenEye (the campaign and various modes) at PCWorld, (yes I stood there for 2 hours), the controls are amazing, they take a little tweaking before its "just right" however.
I did find ADSing down the scope of a sniper rifle, it moved very slow for some reason... and there's no ability to "steady" the sniper rifle to take a clean shot, like in CoD:MWR.
The Multiplayer offline modes are so much fun to play too... I didn't spend all that much time playing them, but from what I saw, they were pretty dam good.
This is my opinion anyways GE vs. BO:
GE Campaign > BO Campaign GE offline multiplayer > BO don't hae one GE online multiplayer < BO online multiplayer
BO wins online multiplayer because of the addictive Nazi Zombies, chat support, enhanced online layout, co-op online too.
But overall GE feels unique, polished and fun. Not to mention it was built from the ground up on the Wii.
Also, the campaign on GE is very addictive, with the ninja-lurking.
Goldeneye all the way, it has offline split-screen multiplayer (wich CoD don't) ANd it is specially made for the Wii, if you want CoD get it on the computer or on any other HD consoles.

A little bit off topic but I had the same problem as you did at first with the Wii remote. Since I switched to the advanced 2 preset in the control options it been gravy ever since. Give it a shot cus I thing Wii remote players have an advantage over classic controller play but that's just my opinion!

I dont even OWN a CC. Does Goldeneye come with one? Because thats the game I was planning on getting.
There's a limited edition Goldeneye which comes with a Golden CC Pro, which you can get nowhere else.

I honestly feel Wiimote IS the 'hardcore' option, but millions (of PS360 users) would disagree.
or at least they would have, before move came out. although now that they're all about it they probably scoff at the wiimote as being the inferior pointer method.
COD BO community will last until the release of a new version next year.
just what i was going to say. the nature of those games is that they're obsolete when the new one comes out. my nephew is using his world at war disc as a coaster now that black ops included zombie mode. there won't be a goldeneye sequel to draw players away anytime soon, meanwhile another call of duty is already slated for next year.
i haven't seen black ops on wii, but i've played the 360 version and aside from nazi zombies it's pretty boring to me. goldeneye may not be as advanced in a lot of ways but it's plain funner; it's still a "run around looking for someone until you get shot in the back by god knows who" modern shooter, but at least it's weighted a little closer to the original's "shoot each other face to face like men until someone dies" gameplay than black ops.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
Bottom line: They're both good. I'll give an edge in the story mode to Goldneye and a pretty big edge in multiplayer to Black Ops (plus Nazi Zombies is a blast!). I don't see you being disappointed with either.
This. A thousand times this. Hell, Black Ops even has a pretty good story mode, so I'd say it still edges out in the end. But still, you can't go wrong with either one.
i disagree, the quality difference between goldeneye and the first conduit makes me doubt high voltage can do anything to close that gap. it's hard to think of anything goldeneye doesn't do far better, including controls, the conduit's one strong suit. we're talking about the work of the biggest staff that one of the biggest current publishers has ever used on wii vs. the work of a bunch of guys who were just making sub-average wiiware games. the resources they have to work with simply aren't comparable, and sadly they're not exactly the type of company with the raw talent to overcome that handicap. by all means buy conduit 2 if you're interested, i'm sure it'll be a good game, but you'd have to be insane to pass either of these options up for it first.

I think it is exactly that! Some of my friends also bought Goldeneye last weekend and we decided to have an online multiplayer. They all stated how crap the Wii remote is for it and will be using classic controllers - I absolutely annihalated them all with my Wii remote controls, despite never really playing FPS games much before.
Of course I then got the excuse that FPS games on the Wii arn't up to much on any controller and they'd have beat me if it was on the 360 - I just can't win.

Sore losers! I get the same thing some times. Some people just can't get used to the Wii remote set up so in stead of looking really bad online for a few days or so trying to get use to the remote then oped to stick with what they know. There is nothing like pointing and shooting really quick! Only the mouse and keyboard can be done quicker in the right hands. But still if they get enjoyment out of the gamecube controller or CC pro then that's all that really matters!
