@Mickeymac, I found it no use almost no strategy, why? Because you can't do anything by yourselve, your following everyone and getting orders.
Gasp! Almost like a......soldier?
Yeah...you're not a squad leader. You're a soldier under someone's command. This isn't Brothers in Arms. It's straight action. I'm sorry it wasn't what you were expecting, but that's just how the series, from my understanding and from what I played, works. Its also how the series has been advertised.
Mason outranks most of the other characters in the game though and is often in charge..... also that doesn't excuse the parts where you're not operating as part of the armed forces.
It's a legitimate complaint if someone doesn't like the constant hand holding in the game and it's a bit lame to try to downplay that by going with the realism angle because COD certainly isn't realistic(for one soldiers can't duck behind a box for five second and magically regenerate). It's fine to say the game isn't for him because that's how COD has always been but that doesn't mean he's not allowed to like that aspect.

I've ordered Black Ops so it's too early to tell on that, but I'm buying it mainly for the online against my normal policy because I got asked to join a "clan" of sorts and they're mad for it.
Anyway, I'm a big fan of the original Call of Duty, which I just re-purchased for my Mac and finished playing. If this one is anything like that I'll be well-pleased. The fact that it's still set in a historic time period rather than some B.S. near future Russian invasion story is also a bonus. Lastly BOPs has support for a the new headset; Goldeneye doesn't. I tried Goldeneye's online and found it pretty boring to be honest. I'm hoping BOPs provides a little more mission variety.
The Black Ops campaign is incredible. So is the multiplayer, but Goldeneye is good for the nostalgia.
I feel the same. Both have really good single player campaigns, but I find that BO's graphics and online mode is superior to GE, imo of course. Both are great games, and neither of them should be dismissed from a Wii owner's library (unless you can get BO on PS3 or 360 of course...).
I was trying to figure out which one to get. Ended up renting both. Goldeneye is the much better game than blackops imo. I think it takes a little more skill to play GE than BO. The multiplayer in bo is a little deeper i guess, but the gameplay in ge is just more fun. Ge feels alot like a cod game. with the leveling and loadouts. the graphics are better on ge. The online networking needs an update. But it is still veryplayable.
I have both. They're both great. I've spent a lot more time playing GE, but the leveling up in that game is getting too tedious. Now I've been playing BO more lately but I've already reached level 50 and there's no way they're conning me into prestiging this time. So now I just play for the killstreaks. I love me some dogs. That's one thing I wish goldeneye had. I'm sick of getting 10 killstreaks and having nothing to show for it. I wish I could combine the best qualities of the two for the ultimate Wii FPS.
I love that Goldeneye includes a Classic 007 mode with life bars and I haven't played it any other way. If you get shot up something awfully you shouldn't be able to hide for five seconds and be no worse for the wear. That's just stupid. Regenerative health is the worst thing to happen to FPSs since...I don't know...Halo.
Goldeneye, probably more for the nostalgia then anything else. Both great FPS games but since I've got the original Goldeneye, I can't go past it. It took a while for the Wii to get some good multiplayer FPS.
The second sentence is true The first sentence is false Wii No: 7828-4130-1321-5811 Mario Kart: 0559-7122-2950

Yes, because picking up a first aid kit and instantly healing wounds isn't stupid in the slightest.
Why do I always let myself get dragged into this moronic argument?
