playing online is kind of like playing with illiterate, homophobic bots, if that helps.

online play is definitely more limited, but i think the splitscreen in some modern shooters is just as detailed when it comes to the options available. too detailed, if you ask me. perfect dark kept it limited to a point where each setting was still interesting to experiment with, rather than having a bunch of minor options that are tedious to go through. but yeah, i agree that bots are sorely missed in modern games. they don't include them anymore because online play kind of fulfills that purpose, but they were great in splitscreen for filling up the matches with friends. teaming up against darksims was great fun.

Sounds good and again looks phenomenal, really good art direction and after watching those videos I'm even more hyped. The gameplay looks awesome, especially the part where he can remove the vent and sneak in. Multiple paths and objectives=awesome.

Anyone who says this game is just a cash-in or has bad graphics needs to be slapped.

i didn't realize it, but in addition to that article there's a half dozen new videos. you were right oregano, these direct feeds are way better than what we saw before.

the dam video gives you a lot of good glimpses of the lean that you can do around corners with the nunchuk, which actually looks really useful. i love the leaves blowing with the rain at the end. the siberia level is just jaw dropping.

also, (kind of) addressing my last concern is the information that you can choose control presets and basic layout options in split screen, but not advanced options like dead zone. if IGN's take on the controls is right, that may be good enough.

Game looks really, really awesome and it's kind of both a good and bad thing that you can't use the most advanced settings. They may be could have used an account/Mii based system but meh.

listening to these buffoons immediately takes you back to playing the original with friends. whether the game feels exactly the same or not, it clearly gets the same reactions out of people. you can see the splitscreen control options at the start, looking good. the golden gun gives you many more points than a normal kill, which makes that mode sound even more fun.

Love the modifiers. Move Your Feet=awesomeness.

You can clearly see that the graphics are dialled down in the multiplayer but it looks like they made good use of textures and lighting when and where it's needed. Automatic pistol looks fun.

I'll be passing on this as it's not a true Bond game.

What is a true bond game?

I have a hunch that this game will be the best traditional FPS the Wii is gonna get (and also propably the only one i'm buying).

But why are all the enemies shooting you from the same posture? They all look kind of identical.

A true Bond games is one that actually stars a proper James Bond. (Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton or Pierce Brosnan).

@Romulux: It seems that whilst you can't fully customise your controls in the multiplayer, one of the presets is actually your single player settings. So you can customise them for multiplayer.... just not whilst setting up multiplayer.
